Subaru Forester XTI Concept gets wicked with 315-hp

Subaru has unveiled its new Forester XTI Concept that will make its public debut at the 2008 SEMA Auto Show next week in Las Vegas. What does XTI mean? Basically the Forester XTI Concept builds on the Forester 2.5XT but gets it performance from the Impreza WRX STI.

That means that power comes from the 2.5L intercooled turbo engine that makes 315-hp with a maximum torque of 290 lb-ft. Mated to close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission that allows for a 0 to 60 time of less than 5 seconds for the Forester.

Other than that it gets a new front lower spoiler and Sport Mesh Grille from Subaru Genuine Accessory catalog. It also gets new side skirts, a rear skirt and a gate spoiler. The Subaru Forester XTI rides on 18-inch STI alloy wheels wrapped in Yokohama Advan Neova performance tires. The Forester XTI also features an adjustable coil-over suspension by STI and Brembo braking system with 4-piston front calipers, 2-piston rear calipers, Super Sport ABS and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). Inside, the Forester XTI features leather and Alcantara sport seats, a special instrument cluster, front dash and center console and leather-wrapped steering wheel.


Subaru Forester XTI Concept:
