The 2009 Volkswagen Golf GTI is set to make its world debut at the 2008 Paris Motor Show on Oct. 2nd but thanks to those who just can’t wait, we get to see it today. EVO magazine has posted pics of the new Golf GTI.
Official pictures and details will follow next week, but for now we know that the Audi-source turbo engine of the GTI produces 208-hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. 0 to 60 mph should come in around 6.5 seconds with a top speed limited to 155 mph. Fuel-economy is estimated at 33 mpg.
The 2009 Volkswagen Golf GTI will arrive in the U.S. in spring 2009 along with the 2009 Volkswagen Rabbit.
