Jaguar files for C-XJ and C-XE names

Jaguar has supposedly filed patents for the ‘C-XJ’ and ‘C-XE’ names, which means that two new concepts are on their way from the British, now Indian-owned, automaker. We’re not sure when the two concepts will make their debut but expect to be around the Geneva Motor Show next year.

The C-XJ concept will give us our first look at a new flagship sedan, internally known as Project X35. Styling for the XJ is said to be inspired by the XF with dimensions to also be around the same. No word on the powertrain lineup.

No word on what C-XE will stand for but speculation is that it will be a smaller XK convertible. The model is expected to compete with the likes of a Porsche Boxster, Porsche 911 and the BMW Z4.
