2009 Audi R8 sold out, other 2009 Audi models see price hike

The 2009 Audi R8 allocation has already sold out despite a price increase of $3,500 than the outgoing model. There is currently an 18 month waiting list for the R8 which now starts at $113,700 for the manual version – the automatic starts at $122,700.

Audi of America spokesman Christian Bokich says that Audi produces 25 units of the R8 per day building approximately 6,000 units per year. "Bokich said that customer’s don’t car whether the 2009 allocation is sold out as long as they eventually get their hands on one "Customers are less focused on the model year," he said.

Pricing and equipment have not yet been announced for upcoming all-new model year 2009 models, including the A4 sedan and Avant (September 2008), TTS coupe and Roadster (late 2008), Audi Q7 3.0 TDI with 50-State clean diesel emissions (Q1/2009), and Audi Q5 (late Q1/2009).
