GM’s Lansing plant to produce Cadillac CTS coupe and wagon

Other than all the bad news coming from GM , the General announced some good news for the Lansing Grand River assembly plant today. The greenlighted Cadillac CTS Coupe and the CTS Wagon will be produced at the Lansing Grand River plant in the first half of 2009. The Lansing Grand River plant currently produces the CTS, STS and SRX.

GM has yet to release any details on the two models. The Lansing Grand River will also be responsible for building the Cadillac CTS diesel for Europe which GM will export across the Atlantic with the Cadillac Wagon.

Taking the new design cues from the Cadillac Provoq, the Cadillac SRX will continued to be produced at the Lansing plant. The next-generation SRX will get its own platform unlike the current model which is built on the STS sedan.
