First picture of the 276-hp Lotus Eagle hits the web
We’ve been teased enough with spy shots and teasers . Thanks to our friends at CAR , we now have the first picture of the Lotus Eagle before its debut later this month at the London Motor Show debut. Sources say that the Lotus Eagle has ran the Nurburgring faster than the Elise and the Exige.
According to CAR , the Lotus Eagle (which is the project name of the car – official name will be announced at the show) will be powered by Toyota’s 3.5L V6 that produces 276-hp with a peak torque of 250 lb-ft. That will give the Eagle the ability to fly from 0-60 in low 5 second range with a top speed of 160mph.
The Lotus Eagle will go on sale in the UK starting early next year with U.S. starting later in 2009. Pricing is expected to be around £45,000 ($89,085 in USD).
