First U.S. 2009 Nissan GT-R delivered

It’s finally July 7th and sales and deliveries of the 2009 Nissan GT-R have begun. And we’re envious to report that there is one man in North America right now who is luckier than any man living in the U.S. Daryl Alison picked up his brand-new 2009 Nissan GT-R this morning at 12:01am pacific time from Universal City Nissan in Los Angeles. We bet he didn’t sleep all night.

Alison bought his GT-R almost 5 months ago after being on the waiting list for 10 months. Nissan of North America arranged a ceremony  at Universal City Nissan to celebrate Alison’s purchase of the new GT-R as the handed over the keys and the title.

Now just like us, you’re probably wondering how much Alison paid for his new GT-R. Well that remains undisclosed and a secret between him and his friends over at Universal City Nissan. Universal City Nissan is also the dealership with the largest number of orders for the new GT-R. It will be getting 25 units, all of which have been pre-sold. It expects to deliver at least 3 GT-Rs tomorrow morning.

When asked what he plans on doing with his GT-R. Alison said: “First of all I’m going to drive it home. “Then I’m going to put some miles on it. Then it will probably be modified. But I’m thinking about the collector value.” Hmm, wonder how much Alison can get for the first GT-R to ride on U.S. Soil.
