Video: Heinricy on 2009 CTS-V’s 7:59.32 lap at the Nurburgring

Heinricy who? John Heinricy is a noted racecar driver who has a long established career with GM. He previously served as an assistant chief engineer for Chevrolet’s Corvette and is now Director of GM’s Performance Division. Recently, Heinricy has been in the automotive headlines after his 7:59.32 lap around the Nurburgring in the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V.

After the 7:59.32 lap of the Nurburgring, Cadillac released the official technical specs of the 2009 CTS-V stating that the 6.2 supercharged V8 produces 556 horsepower with a peak torque of 551 lb-ft. 0-60 comes in just 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 171mph on automatic and 195mph on manual.
