Audi to have 40 models by 2015
In an attempt to become the largest luxury-automaker, Audi will increase the number of cars in its lineup from the current 26 to 40 models by 2015. In interview with Focus-Money magazine, CEO Rupert Stadler said that prodution will also expand and building a plant in the U.S. is under review.
“We are studying the possibility of having a manufacturing plant in the U.S.A.,” Stadler said. he said that Audi could do this alone or team up with its parent company Volkswagen.
Next year, Audi is expectd to add the Audi Q5, Audi A5 Convertible, Audi A1 and a V10 version of the Audi R8.
