Dealer asking over $154,000 for 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR

When Ford announced the pricing for the 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR at $79,995, we thought why someone wouldn’t go for a Nissan GT-R which is faster and better in every way. Then news came out of dealers charging over $90,000 to get behind the wheels of Godzilla.

Well the Nissan GT-R may still be a better buy seeing as dealers are asking over $154,000 for a new 2009 Shelby GT500KR on eBay. A Texas dealer has put up an auction on eBay Motors with a ‘Buy it Now’ price of $154,991 to become the self-proclaimed ‘King of the Road.’

As CarScoop points out, you can walk out of a Porsche dealerships with keys to a brand new Porsche 911 GT3 for $30,000 less. All we see is the Nissan GT-R and Porsche 911 GT3 (even the GT3 RS costs $124,900) and a Nissan GT-R speeding past you and shaking their heads while you sit there and think you’re the ‘King of the Road.’
