Mazda1 minicar concept coming to Paris, gets Nagari design style

Mazda is ready to reveal its new Mazda1 city car at the Paris Motor Show. According to AutoCar, the Mazda1 will the first production Mazda that will incorporate the Nagari styling that was seen in the hot looking Taiki and Furai concepts we saw at auto shows recently.

The success of the Mazda2 has paved way for an even smaller model that will rival cars such as the Volkswagen Polo and the Ford Ka.

Design head Laurens van der Acker said that Mazda will use a lot of Nagar influence in models after 2010. Acker said his team’s main focus with the Mazad1 concept due in Paris was to explore how the Nagari styling can be interpreted in an everyday Mazda car.

Mazda is also expected to unveil a new small crossover concept at the Moscow Motor Show later this year which is also said to adopt the Nagari design.
