California bill asks to punish drivers with pets in their laps

Republican Bill Maze was appalled when he saw saw a woman driving with three dogs in her lap.  So much so, that he decided to propose a bill that punishes drivers driving around with their pet in their laps.

Basically anyone caught driving with a dog or any other pet on their lap while driving can get a $35 fine. The bill has passed the Assembly on a 44-11 vote and is now headed to the senate.

Guess all you pet-loving celebrities have to put that dog in the backseat.
