Tuner Cars: 640hp HGP Golf R36
So you’re pretty disappointed that Volkswagen won’t be making a production model of its popular 650 horsepower Golf GTI W12 650 Concept. But if you’re willing to spend an estimated price of more than $145,900, long-time Volkswagen tuner HGP has strapped on twin turbochargers to their already 600 horsepower Golf R36.
The result is an increase of 40 horsepower for a total of 640. Top speed comes in at 202 mph, while 0-62mph comes in at 3.8 seconds.
The car just completed a 174mph dash on Nardo’s high-speed track in 23.5 seconds. It also had a recent face-off with the 630 horsepower Enco 911 Turbo. Check out some of the images we’ve gathered up for you to drool over.
