Honda to bring 3 new hybrids to market by 2011

Honda may have had the first hybrid in North America, but Toyota carries the hybrid crown these days.  Honda plans to get back in the heat of the action with three new hybrids by 2011.

The first, a possible Prius competitor, will be a dedicated hybrid model, potentially to be released by 2009. Next is the CRZ hybrid sports car, a spiritual successor to the CRX HF, that we saw not to long ago.  Finally, Honda will release the next generation Civic Hybrid in 2011.

While pricing is still under wraps for all three models, Honda has said that their next generation Hybrid IMA system will be far more affordable.
