Detroit Auto Show: Audi TT-S debuts with 268hp
Besides the exciting new Audi R8 diesel concept, Audi revealed the new Audi TT-S at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show. Powered by a 2.0L TFSI engine the Audi TT-S produces 268 horsepower with a peak torque 258 lb-ft. The engine is mated with an S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission.
0-62 for the TT-S Coupe comes in at 5.4 seconds while the roadster does it in 5.6. Both have an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. Fuel-economy wise the coupe model gets a combined 24.7mpg while the roadster gets 24.3mpg.
The Audi TT-S will be available to order in the UK sometimes mid-2008.
