2008 Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG pictures released

Following the release of the new facelifted Mercedes-Benz SLK, the AMG website has put up pictures of the brand new 2008 Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG. Technical specs wise, the SLK 55 AMG remains unchanged. It’s still equipped with the 5.5 liter V8 powerplant that produces 360 hp and a peak torque of 510 Nm. 0-60 still comes in at 4.9 seconds. 360 horsepower? Come on AMG, you guys could’ve added a little more horsepower (40 or so to take it to 400hp) to give us something to be excited about this holiday season. Oh well, maybe next year.

The only differences are a few visual enhancements. The front end of the AMG model now features a new apron with a black-painted cross strut and side air outlets as well as darkened headlamps. We doubt we’ll get any official press release from Mercedes-Benz touting this years SLK 55 AMG since everything is mostly the same.
