Survey: Honda tops in rear-seat entertainment

According to a survey by the J.D. Power and Associates, the Honda Odyssey’s Panasonic system is the top rear-seat entertainment system in the industry. In the 2007 J.D. Power and Associates Rear-Seat Entertainment Usage and Satisfaction Survey, Honda and Panasonic’s rear-seat entertainment systems, finished in the top three spots.

The survey looks for owner satisfaction with factory-installed rear-seat entertainment in a recently purchased car. J.D. Power and Associates asked buyers to measure the system’s appearance, video screen, system operation and audio quality.

The Honda Odyssey was followed by the Acura MDX and the Honda Pilot which also use a Panasonic system. Ford came in fourth place with a Delphi system followed by the Chevrolet Silverado with a Panasonic.

Panasonic’s system in the Honda Odyssey scored particularly well in the appearance and video categories.
