Earlier this month Lexus officially released the details on its upcoming Lexus IS-F. Powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine, the rear-wheel-drive Lexus IS-F produces 417 horsepower and will go on sales in Japan this December for 7.66 million which is about $65,742 US Dollars.
According to WindingRoad, Nissan previously said that “prices in Japan for the Nissan GT-R will start from around ¥7.8 million,” which is about $66,380 US Dollars.
So that’s not much more than the Lexus IS-F. We had official word today that the Nissan GT-R will be powered by a 3.8 liter V6 engine that produces 473 horsepower and 434 lb-ft of torque.
Seeing as prices remain the same, which would more speed hungry drives opt for? Is an extra $638 worth 56 more horsepower that the GT-R has. Not to mention the GT-R already carries the respect of beating the Porsche 911 Turbo around the Nurburgring.
More details next week as Nissan officially unveils the GT-R at the Tokyo Motor Show.
