Toyota will unveil the all new 2009 Toyota Corolla and Matrix at the 2007 SEMA, which begins on October 30.
The next-generation Toyota Corolla will be arriving early 2008 with an aggressive look and more powerful engines. Toyota hopes to compete with the new Honda Civic and Mazda3 and their high-performance variants.
The base Corolla model will is expected to carry Toyota”s new 1.8 liter engine that produces 128 horsepower and 125 lb-ft. of torque. Toyota sources have confirmed that the next-generation Corolla will also be getting Camry”s 2.4 liter 158 horsepower engine matted with a 5-speed automatic.
The same engine choices are expected for the Toyota Matrix.

Toyota”s press conference will be held on Wednesday, October 31 at 10:10 AM in Pavilions nine,10 and 11 of the Las Vegas Hilton. It will be simulcast live to the Toyota display area on the second floor of South Hall.
