Nissan GT-R faster than the 911 Turbo around Nurburgring (unofficially)

New information from the spies at KGP Photography suggests that the new Nissan GT-R is faster than the Porsche 911 Turbo around the Nurburgring. Supposedly while the spies were out catching pictures of the facelifted 911 Turbo at the track, Nissan was testing their GT-R.

Of course this is all unofficial information, since the spies say that the 911 may have been running at a ‘less-intense durability cycle’, and wasn’t racing the GT-R. However, the reporters at the scene recorded the Nissan GT-R lap times numerously at the Nurburgring, with the best time being 7:38. That is a whole 2 seconds faster than the 7:40 it took the 997 911 Turbo which holds the record at the Nurburgring.
