According to Times of London, former Ford CEO Jacques Nasser will be visiting Land Rover and Jaguar factories to meet with trade union officials in an effort to purchase the two brands from Ford.
Of course Nasser isn’t going in it alone. The former CEO, who served Ford from 1999 to 2001, is representing One Equity Partners, a private equity firm owned by JPMorgan Chase. Ford purchased Land Rover in 2000, during Nasser’s term.
Ford hopes to have a tentative deal to sell Jaguar and Land Rover by September 30th.
