Ex-DCX employee charged for embezzling $4 million
DaimlerChrysler has filed criminal charges against an ex-employee, claiming that he claimed money from the company for construction work that wasn”t performed. According to the Bettina Vetter, a prosecutor in Stuttgar, the man was charged with embezzling more than 3 million euros ($4 million) between 1997 and 2004.
Supposedly the man, who was head of a building department, is being accused of having an forged invoices for work that was never carried out or completed.
A trial date has not been set as of yet. This should help DCX recover some cash it lost in the Chrysler deal.
