New York Auto Show: 2008 Infiniti G37 coupe revealed early

Nissan just announced in the beginning of this month that the Infiniti G coupe will be badged a G37, and with the New York Auto Show is just days away, big shots in the automotive news have already begun releasing official images and information on the much anticipated debut of the car. Automobile just posted images and information on the new G37 coupe saying that the car will have a 3.7 liter engine (hence the name G37) that produces 330 horsepower with 270 lb-ft peak torque.

The Infiniti G37 will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic. Allowing the G37 to redline at 7,500 rpm, Nissan says that if compared to BMW’s Valvetronic, VVEL (Nissan’s new Variable Valve Event and Lift technology) is 32% quicker to respond, 20% smaller, and uses 52% less parts per cylinder.

Join us on April 4th and 5th, when we bring you live coverage from the New York Auto Show and live images of the G37 coupe.
