We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, Ford needs to bring their European models to the US to save itself. Who is the man to finally hear the thousands anxiously waiting to see the Ford Mondeo in the US? Ford’s CEO Mullay of course. Alan Mullay told Automotive News last week that “The probability is very high” that Ford will tap its global product bank for US consumers in the near term. And why wouldn’t they? Ford just announced a $12.7 billion loss for 2006, the worst financial results in its 103-year history.
What cars will we see first from Europe? Well so far Mullay has his eyes on the Mondeo, S-Max and the Transit.
