Mazda has unveiled its new 2008 Mazda Tribute Hybrid at the Detroit Auto Show. The 2008 Mazda Tribute Hybrid Electric Vehicle has a 2.3 liter four cylinder engine that produces 133 horsepower and uses Atkinson-cycle combustion for improved efficiency. The Tribute HEV is able to run completely on electric power at speeds up to 25 mph (not like that matters unless you’re driving in circles in your neighborhood). The compact SUV also includes a A 70-kWatt (equivalent to 94 horsepower) electric traction motor and is available in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive.
