2008 Lexus IS-F Revealed

Hoping to compete with the BMW M3 and the Audi RS4, Lexus today unveiled the IS-F luxury sedan at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show. The Lexus IS-F has a 5.0 liter V8 engine that produces more than 400 horsepower and 350 ft-lbs. of torque giving the car the ability to do 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds. The transmission on the IS-F is an 8-speed automatic with paddle shifting. The car also has Brembo brakes with14.2 inch discs, 19 inch wheels and will eventually be offered as a two-door coupe as well.

Lexus will be badging its new performance vehicles with an F (stands for Fast) on the trunk to represent its new performance division that will compete with AMG, RS and M around the world.
