MBCO (Mobile Broadcast Corporation Japan) has introduced a TiVo like product which records audio and video for later playback. The MBR0201 hooks up to your cars entertainment console and picks up any satellite radio or satellite video signal and can be programmed to record them for later listening or viewing. The MBR0201 does have copyright controls which do not allow the recorded material to be copied to other devices, although you can hook it up to your TV to view your recorded shows at your convenience.
The device comes with a remote control and can be used in countries with FM or satellite radio transmission, satellite video is limited to advanced countries like Japan. The MBR0201 comes in white or black and costs about $500 (65,000 Yen) with a complete installation kit. Check out the MBCO site.
