It’s about time Porsche has turned its attention to its bestselling Porsche 911 lineup. Automotive News is reporting that the new 2008 Porsche 911 lineup will get some upgrades to its exterior and some performance upgrades. The 2008 Porsche 911 is expected to get a dual clutch transmission which will allow smoother shifting. The dual clutch system that will be used in the 2008 911 is similar to Volkswagen’s DSG system, which could be hinting to further integration of the two companies as reported last week.
Prosche will also be adding direct-injection engines to the 2008 Porsche 911 lineup, called DFI, which will provide imporved fuel economy by 10 percent.
