The special edition Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport comes with a two-tone exterior with a yellow body and carbon fiber trimming. There are also black wheels with silver accents making us believe Bumblebee just received a big power and class upgrade.

On the inside, the color scheme is carried over with yellow leather and black trim.

Power comes from a W16 engine making 1,001-hp with a maximum torque of 921 lb-ft. Mated to a 7-gear DSG gearbox, 0 to 62 mph comes in 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 253 mph.

There will be only one model produced with prices starting at $2.03.

“It is Bugatti’s intention to honour the very important Middle East market with this threefold variety and to provide its highly exclusive clientele in the Middle East an insight into how creativity and inspiration can be successfully driven to individualised luxury,” Bugatti said in a statement.

The first of the three special-edition Grand Sport models is a  horizontal color split with a bright yellow body and a underside in visible black carbon, including black-tinted wheels. The car features Bugatti founder Ettore Bugatti’s favorite color. The inside is finished in yellow-colored leather with black stitching and black carbon on the center console. Prices for this model start at 1.58 million euros ($2.15 million USD).

The second model is also a two-tone horizontal color split consisting of visible blue carbon, framed in polished, anodised aluminium. The wheels come in an aluminium polished and Diamond Cut two-tone finish. This Veyron Grand Sport also gets mirror-shine aluminum finish grills and air intakes. The inside features a nice tangerine leather and dark blue Indigo leather or exposed blue carbon fiber door panels, dashboard, steering wheel and console. Prices start at 1.74 million euros ($2.36 million USD).

Last but not least, the third Grand Sport model comes in a new green carbon fiber tone with polished aluminum. The rims, exterior mirrors and even the EB-logo at the rear are finished in polished aluminium. On the inside, this version features green and silver finishes. Prices also start at 1.74 million euros ($2.36 million USD).

Bugatti plans on making a total of 150 units of the Veyron Grand Sport. So far, only 45 have been sold.

Before Bugatti gets all upset, our headline is just a joke – the brand has no plans to build a competitor to the Aston Martin Cygnet for two reasons – first, it would be a horrible thing to do and second… well, Bugatti just doesn’t compete with Aston Martin.

Either way, someone, somewhere in this world is creative enough to turn there Honda Civic hatchback into something that looks like a mix between the Bugatti Veyron and the Galibier.

Automotive magazine Motor Trend’s latest video featuring an 11 sport car drag race was quite an enthusiast crowd pleaser. Magazine Road&Track is now looking to create the same viewing pleasure with three cars that cost a whole lot more than all the 11 car’s in Motor Trend’s video together.

The company took the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, the Nissan GT-R and the Porsche 911 Turbo S and pinned them up against each other.

In the closing days of the Bugatti Veyron or perhaps any car, it has almost become customary for manufacturers to unveil a special edition model to mark the end of a production run. However, for the Bugatti Veyron, the next potential model that could be produced to truly mark the end of the Veyron and make way for the Galibier sedan is said to be impossible at the time being. The impossible being a Veyron Super Grand Sport, meaning a range-topping Super Sport but with its head cut-off.

In a press conference with Bugatti’s (and Bentley’s CEO) Wolfgang Durheimer, he said that a convertible Super Sport Veyron is impossible because the car’s structure was tuned specifically in favor of aerodynamics while the car’s carbon-fiber unibody is there to promise maximum torsion rigidity.

So thus, despite the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport having the stiffness to pull-off a convertible version, Durheimer said that it doesn’t have enough structural rigidity to have its head cut off with a folding roof of some sort. There are also “aerodynamic difficulties” concerning the airflow to the massive, quad-turbo W16 engine.

Instead of offering a Veyron Super Sport convertible, Durheimer also added that Bugatti is working on a more powerful version that will get closer to producing 1,200-hp.

As for the never-to-be convertible SuperSport, let’s just hope that some ambitious owner doesn’t pull a Billy Idol and take a chainsaw to the roof.

Bugatti fans will have to find something new to daydream about Three-hundred units of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 model were produced, and just recently, the last one available was ordered. Scheduled for delivery next fall, the vehicle is headed for Europe.

In 1998 the Volkswagen Group bought the Bugatti name’s rights. One year later a concept car was debuted at the Tokyo motor show, which was the concept that would eventually become the Veyron.

Making this car unique amongst all others, the Bugatti Veyron is the premiere production car to feature a full carbon-fiber monoque. The special support system houses an 8.0-liter W16 motor that puts out the four digit horsepower figure of 1,001-hp and 922 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed twin-clutch transmission, and all that power will get you from 0-62mph in just 2.5 seconds.

Those with a serious need for speed had an option to upgrade to the Super Sport, which puts out 1,200-hp and 1,106 lb-ft of torque.

All 300 units sold for at least $1,700,500 in the U.S.

Supercar with a limited production run of 300 cars is a global success

The Grand Sport, the world’s fastest convertible, to continue Bugatti tradition Molsheim, 24 June 2011 – The final Bugatti Veyron has now been ordered by a European customer, marking an end to the triumphant reign of the supercar with an exclusive production run of 300 models and its even faster cousin the Super Sport. The coupé versions of the Veyron are worthy successors to the heritage of classic Bugattis, now collector’s items of unparalleled status and optimum appreciation, which today are amongst the most valuable cars in existence.

But the story of Bugatti’s exceptional sports car is set to continue. The Grand Sport, a supercar with the very highest technical specifications, remains available to automotive connoisseurs. In its closedtop incarnation with a transparent roof it reaches top speeds of 407 km/h; with the roof removed a maximum speed of 360 km/h makes the Grand Sport the fastest convertible in the world.

The development of the Bugatti Veyron represented one of the greatest technical challenges and engineering achievements in automotive history. Volkswagen bought the rights to the Bugatti brand in 1998, and just one year later the company presented its fourth concept vehicle, the close-to production study EB 18/4 Veyron at the Tokyo Motor Show. Barely six years down the line, on 29 April 2005, a Veyron exceeded 400 km/h for the very first time, and six months later was presented to its global audience.

The Veyron was and remains a synthesis of superlative technical achievements. It was the first production vehicle to have a full carbon-fibre monocoque, and its torsional rigidity of 60,000 Newton meters per degree remains unparalleled to this day. The 7,993 cm3 capacity sixteen-cylinder engine with its four continuously variable camshafts and four turbochargers is capable of a top speed of 407 2 Bugatti km/h, developing 1,001 PS (736 kW). The seven-gear twin-clutch gearbox governs an unbelievable 1,250
Newton meters of torque, and is one of the fastest transmissions in the world with shift times of less than 150 milliseconds. Acceleration from 0 to 100 takes place in a legendary 2.5 seconds.

With its carbon-ceramic brakes, highly innovative brake cooling system and the rear spoiler which is activated to serve as an additional air brake when braking, this superlative sports car can come to a complete standstill from 100 km/h in just 31.4 metres and 2.3 seconds. The Super Sport boasting 1,200 PS and a top speed of 415 km/h performs the same feat even faster.

The European customer who has bought the 300th Veyron has never purchased a Bugatti before. Delivery is scheduled for next autumn.

Three thieves from Poland stole a significant spread of vehicles about a month ago. Among the goods: a  Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, a BMW 7-Series, and special edition Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Sang Bleu.

The cars where stolen from Oberrieden, Switzerland. The goal was to get the cars back to Poland, by way of Germany.

German autobahns offered no cover for the thieves, and police had no trouble picking up two of the three. Unfortunately, the driver of the Veyron managed to scrape the car along a guard rail before he was caught. As for the third driver, he managed to get away by abandoning the Ferrari 599 in Furth, Germany, at a train station. He still has not been caught.

Aside from the obvious charges, the two men that were caught are facing a hefty tax bill. Any smugglers transporting stolen goods through Germany are hit with a 10% tariff and 19% import tax, as a result of their European Union membership.

The taxes tally up to around $522,000, considering the cost of the stolen exotics.

Yachts seem to be a favorite you of luxury supercar buyers and it would be a dream come true if a supercar brand built their very own yacht to go hand-in-hand with a respective model. Following that belief, designer Ben Walsh has come up with a new yacht inspired by the Bugatti Veyron Sang Bleu Grand Sport.

The Bugatti Veyron Sang Bleu Grand Sport is the very last special-edition of the Veyron to be built and by far one of the most beautiful Veyron’s we’ve seen to date.

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

Bugatti has just released two new versions of the Veyron at the Shanghai Motor Show this week for the Asian markets.

The special edition Grand Sport version with the chop top targa roof was given a special color scheme to differentiate itself from other versions offered in wither the European or American markets. It consists of a matte white paintjob with blue carbon fiber on the lower fenders. The interior receives a similar treatment to the exterior with blue materials and white stitching where applicable.

The second is a Veyron Super Sport, also given special color schemes to equally rarify itself from the others. That receives a black lacquered carbon fiber and cream interior with a black matte exterior.

Refresher: The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport makes a total of 1,200-hp (up from 1,001-hp) with a maximum torque of 1,106 lb-ft. Top speed for the production models will be electronically limited to 259 mph to protect the tires. The first five units will feature a special-series of their own with the same configuration as the landspeed record car.

When opened to the skies, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport reaches top speeds of 360 km/h leaving other convertibles standing in its dust.

Accompanying the sheer thrill of driving with the top down is a quite extraordinary sonorous roar that no other automobile can match. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport presented in Shanghai comes completely in black visible carbon carbon. The details in the polished and anodized aluminum set an excellent contrast as the outer surfaces of the alloy wheels and the EB logos on wheel caps, fuel filler cap and rear lid. The interior of the Super Sport is draped in two-tone “Snow Beige” and “Beluga Black”. Carbon continues as a defining theme in the inside, sheathing the doors and inset in the central console. The rest is in highly exclusive “Snow Beige” leather. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport shown in Shanghai has already been sold to a customer in China.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport is the fastest car worldwide

The Super Sport is based on the classic Veyron 16.4 but with an output of 882 kW (1,200 PS) is 146 kW (200 PS) more powerful. Bugatti pilote officiel Pierre-Henri Raphanel last year set a new world speed record for production vehicles on the Volkswagen test track in Ehra Lessien, achieving 431 km/h and an entry into the Guinness Book of Records. The production version is electronically limited to 415 km/h to protect the tires.

The power development of the 7,993 cm3 capacity 16-cylinder engine is made possible by the four enlarged turbochargers and intercoolers. The chassis has also been extensively redesigned, in order to handle the car’s extreme dynamism with safety. With lateral acceleration of up to 1.4 g, the improved interaction between the tyres and the intelligent all-wheel drive system enables perfect handling. At the same time all powertrain components have also been comprehensively reinforced, to transfer the acceleration of up to 1,500 Nm safely to all four drive wheels.

Instead of the air intakes above the engine, fresh air is fed in via two NACA ducts set into the roof. The Super Sport’s front view is characterized by expanded, reshaped air intakes, with the lower one extending around the sides to the wheel arch to lend this supreme sports car an even more assured appearance. Meanwhile at the rear the Super Sport features a revised rear panel arrangement and engine cover, a new double diffuser and a centrally arranged exhaust system with two broad chrome exhaust tips. The modified rear and the redesigned roof both enhance the aerodynamics of this quintessential Bugatti.

The literally shiny Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang will be going under the auction block at the 2011 Top Marques Monaco show this week. Of course the Top Marques Monaco will be the perfect place to auction off a Veyron, since it’s one of the only live supercar shows in the world.

But this isn’t just any Veyron – this is the Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang – and then this just isn’t any of the five Bugatti Veyron Pur Sangs roaming the planet Earth. No, this Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang is the first of the five units ever built and the bidding for it will start at a whopping £1.7 million ($2.7 million USD).

Pace Germany, a car sales company for the rich, is offering the car for that hefty price tag but hey, at least you’re getting a 1,001-hp engine, a raw carbon fiber and aluminum paint finish, four-wheel-drive, navigation system, climate control, electric windows and an automatic gearbox.

Of course, for most of us the over $1 million price tag of the Bugatti Veyron can seem a little steep. Well, now you can get behind one for just $25,000… a day.

Believe it or not a Berkshire-based leasing company called Holders Vehicle Contracts has the world’s fastest car (or one of the world’s fastest if you will) in its rental fleet and will let you cruise around in it for a whopping $25,000 a day. Oh and did we mention that you have to throw down a $160,000 deposit as well.

Nonetheless, Holders VC says it already has had a few willing to rent one of the world’s most expensive cars. As far as we know, this is probably the world’s most expensive rental car.

Sure other Veyron owners may be able to go from 0 to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds – but you can now do it in a more elegant manner.

If the Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire just didn’t do it for you, Mansory has just unveiled its new LINEA Vincero at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. Mansory, which is known for offering nearly all parts made from carbon fiber, added a new front apron, side skirts, larger air outlets on the sides and the back along with a new diffuser. The tuner also added LED daytime running lights in front mount along with a “V” on the grille for the “Vincero” name.

Starting off with a base 1,001-hp Bugatti Veyron 16.4, power was slightly increased to 1,109 with a maximum torque of 966 lb-ft. The increased power comes from an increased cooling air supply and optimized exhaust system.

LINEA Vincerò ““ Mansory refines the Bugatti Veyron 16.4

“Vincerò! Vincerò! ¬”“ I will win”, that is the self-confident exclamation from Nessun Dorma, probably the most famous tenor aria from Giacomo Puccini´s opera Turandot. And Vincerò is also the name of the latest automobile accessory line by refining specialist Mansory. Mansory already finds many parallels for the new name: The plot of the aria stems from a Persian tale of 1001 days which also relates to the standard motorisation of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 with 1,001 hp. On the other hand, it should also refer to the origin of Kourosh Mansory, the founder and CEO of Mansory Corporation. And the opera has another reference to the offered product portfolio by ending after three acts. The LINEA Vincerò edition is also not infinite ““ the project is strictly limited.

It goes without saying that such a sonorous name is only suitable for an absolutely high-quality programme. Already the Bugatti Veyron serial edition sets standards in terms of price, maximum speed and engine power and leaves its competitors far behind when a contender for the super sports car is to be crowned. Whoever now thinks that everything possible has been achieved, can be proved wrong. Already visually, the changes clearly show. The front part gets a comprehensive face-lift including modified wings, a shorter hood and a striking front apron. The LED daytime running lights integrated in the front mount and the implemented stylised “V” as a special tribute to the name “Vincerò” draw even more attention to the car. The newly developed side skirts are the visual and aerodynamic connection between the axles. Larger air outlets at the sides and at the back render optimal engine cooling and in combination with the new diffuser, they underline the powerful car design. Mansory manufactures nearly all auto body parts from ultra-light and high-strength carbon. The applied hardening technique with strong pressure and high temperatures in the autoclave thereby enormously improve the material quality.

In order to perfect the entire visual appearance, Mansory devised new, striking fully-forged turbine-design wheels for the Linea Vincerò in serial dimensions.

Also, the power engine is refined by Mansory. Technical innovation is combined with technical expertise and thereby, an increased cooling air supply and optimised exhaust system produce an unbelievable 1109 hp and 1310 Nm.

The interior is exclusive and yet functional. Also here, Mansory understands how luxury and technology can be harmonically combined. When traditional craftsmanship, selected materials and stylish design merge, the result is an interior of automobile excellence.

This mainly shows by the LED lights of the new Ambiente-Illumination-System which are fitted in the seats, door linings and the dashboard. Bugatti today unveiled the Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show celebrating the company’s 100th anniversary. Rumors have proven to be false as the Veyron Bleu Centenaire does not get a 350-hp increase and “shares all performance characteristics of other Veyron models performance.”

Nonetheless, we do have another special-edition Veyron that gets a two-tone variation of the lightest shade of Bugatti Blue - sprintblue matte and sprintblue gloss. The roof stripes, exterior mirrors and other trims are made of polished aluminum. The appearance is further enhanced by the bright red brake-calipers. The inside of the Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire is fitter with special “snowbeige” leather with quilting on the seats.

Bugatti also said that LED lights, park distance control and a rear-view-camera have become a part of the standard equipment for all Veyrons from this year onwards.

It’s not like that there were already enough limited or special edition Bugatti Veyrons running around in the world, tuner Mansory has decided to put their touch on one of the most expensive and fastest cars in the world.

While there is plenty of online debate whether the car is a Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir that’s been further modified by Mansory or a base Veyron that’s been redone to resemble the famous limited-edition Bugatti. Nonetheless, it is widely known that Mansory was involved with the project that is known as the Bugatti Veyron Vincero Limited. The body features a blackout trim and smoked chrome, new front fenders and door panels in chrome and a carbon fiber hood. The interior features a black and white upholstery, woven seatbacks and carbon fiber and suede trims.

It is unknown how many Vincero’s were made but what we do know is that there is one that sits at Prestige Cars in the United Arab Emirates.

Looking for a used Bugatti Veyron? Yeah – so are we. We’ll we’re both in luck because a 2006 Veyron has just popped up on Craigslist with only 874 miles on the odometer. The car was listed on the popular classified advertisement site two days ago in the Los Angeles, CA section.

The car is located in Benicia, which is just north of San Francisco but for a car that does 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph – that’s not too far. Plus, it’ll be a great driving the 1001-hp car on the Pacific Coast Highway.

The asking price? $1.3 million – which is probably the highest price-tag a car has ever carried on Craigslist.

Built around the Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg, Germany, Autostadt attracts millions of people that can visit the museum featuring pavilions for each manufacturer in the Volkswagen Group. Autostadt reopened its premium pavilion on Oct 31st displaying an unusual exhibit.

The main attraction this year is the new “Premium Clubhouse” built by British architect Stephen Williams. The curvy display features an exhibit by artist Olaf Nicolai who is displaying his mirror-finish Bugatti Veyron. Basically, you can now check out one of the most exclusive vehicle in the world and yourself at the same time.

Olaf Nicolai says that the mirror-finish Bugatti Veyron “creates mental spaces in which he explores aesthetic perceptions.” The main theme of the exhibit is to “to create the impression of an infinite reflection of anyone who looks at the car.”
