BMW has just released a short trailer teasing the new 2011 5-Series sedan. The trailer features the kinetic sculpture from the BMW Museum to create the silhouette of the upcoming redesigned 5-series sedan.

The 2011 BMW 5-Series sedan will make its official debut on Nov. 23 via Live-Stream from the unveiling ceremony.

What you’re looking at here are the teasers of the upcoming 2010 Dodge Charger sedan that were shown today at Chrysler 5-year business plan conference. The 2010 Charger will make its debut by the end of this year. According to Dodge brand CEO Ralph Gilles, we can expect a little bit of Viper in all future Dodge vehicles.

Nissan has released two sketches and a very short press release of what it calls its next “global compact car.” Of course, to Europeans this is just the next-generations Nissan March/Micra that they’ve been enjoying for several years now.

Nissan said that the ‘model will be first launched in Thailand in March 2010 and will be available in more than 150 countries.”

The Japanese automaker did not confirm if U.S. would be one of those 150 countries, but keep your fingers crossed if you want another competitor to the Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris and something more sleek looking than the Nissan Versa.

Refresher: The Bugatti 16 C Galibier is one of the several concepts which the company is considering for a future model. Power comes from a 8.0L 16-cylinder engine that features two-stage supercharging. The engine is flex-fuel compatible, meaning it can run on ethanol. The Bugatti Galibier rides on a four-wheel-drive system and features ceramic brakes and a new suspension design that enables “agile, always-sure handling of a saloon of this size.”

Since BMW had a lot planned for the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, it decided to unveil the Mini Coupe Concept ahead of the big show next week. Since then, Mini has been generating a lot of buzz around the model and the Roadster Concept it will show in Frankfurt.

Today, the folks at WorldCarFans received a new teaser called the “Two Untamed.” It is the first installment in a series of three to be released before the show and it is, well… awkward. Check it out after the jump.

Almost a month ago from today, we heard a little rumor that Audi will be showing a new concept known as Audi R8 ePerformance, an electric-version of its popular supercar, at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. We’re expecting that the concept, if shown, hints at a future production model that would compete with Mercedes-Benz’s SLS AMG with electric-drive.

With the Frankfurt Motor Show just days away, Audi has released a new viral campaign called “Electricity Untamed.” Each “weird” video ends with a little teaser of what looks to be an Audi R8.

We’d love to say that an electric Audi R8 is no longer a rumor – but we’ll have to proceed with caution.

Hyundai is no longer the boring automaker you once thought they were. The Korean company just released two sketches of the next-generation Sonata mid-size sedan before its official debut scheduled for September 10.

The new Sonata is expected to carry a new 2.0L 4-cylinder engine (seen in the Hyundai Genesis Coupe) mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. It will be a little more powerful and will offer an increase in fuel-economy. The current 2.4L 4-cylinder Sonata returns 22/32 mpg (city/highway).

You can also expect other features like a push-button start, panormaic sunroof, paddle-shifters, Bluetooth connectivity and much more.

Tomorrow is September 1st and that means Honda will finally take the covers off of the much-anticipated Honda Accord Crosstour crossover. The Japanese automaker released its fourth and final teaser today on Facebook, showing the new model taking shape.

Following the teaser video we saw two nights ago, the first official teaser image of BMW’s Vision EfficientDynamics Concept has hit the Internet. BMW is remaining very tight-lipped about the concept that is scheduled to debut next month at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.

All we know so far is that the concept will host a range of BMW EfficientDynamics fuel-saving technologies and will hint at the future MegaCity Vehicle from Project-i or an environmentally-friendly supercar.

Toyota just released a short press release along with a teaser image, letting us know that the 2010 Toyota 4Runner will make its world debut at the 2009 State Fair of Texas during a news conference on Sept. 24.

“More rugged than ever, the new fifth-generation 4Runner offers sure-footed off-road capability and increased comfort with added roominess,” Toyota said. “More than 1.8 million 4Runners have been sold since it was introduced in 1984, and more than 70 percent are still on the road.”

The current model offers V6 and V8 engines and available all-wheel-drive.

Last Friday, Honda launched a new Facebook fan page for the upcoming Honda Accord CrossTour. Along with allowing some 3,200 fans to talk about the upcoming crossover, Honda releases little teasers here and there to keep the fan page community interested.

It seems like automakers are getting used to the idea of using Facebook to slowly tease products before their official debut date. Honda has just dropped the first teaser for its upcoming Honda Accord Crosstour, scheduled to debut September 1.

The 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour Facebook fan page has 2,336 fans at the moment that can check out teasers (images and videos) before anyone else.

Sales of the Accord Crosstour will begin in fall 2009. Power is expected to come from Honda’s 3.5i VTEC and the 2.3L 4-cylinder turbo from the RDX.

Hyundai has released official renderings of its new ix35 C-segment SUV that will replace the Tucson. The ix35 will make its debut alongside the new Santa Fe at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

The new ix35 was designed at Hyundai’s European design center in Russelsheim, Germany, and takes design cues from the ix-onic concept from the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.

Both models will reach European showrooms within the six months. The ix35 will wear different badges all around the world and will still be called the Tucson when it arrives in the United States.

Hyundai to reveal the new European SUV range at Frankfurt Motor Show

Hyundai will strengthen its position as one of the leading brands in the European SUV sector when it presents an all-new addition to the brand’s SUV line-up at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The ix35 joins the C-segment to replace the very successful Tucson, and will receive its world premiere at the Show on the 15th September. Alongside the ix35 will be the significantly-revised Santa Fe, which benefits from a wide range of engineering and cosmetic changes to fine-tune the driving experience and make it even more competitive versus rival D-segment SUVs.

These debutants will reach showrooms during the next six months, enhancing Hyundai’s offering in the SUV sector. Throughout the decade Hyundai has regularly ranked among the top five brands for SUV sales in Europe. A strong product range and high levels of customer loyalty boosted the company’s share of the European SUV market from 5,6% in 2000 to over 18% by 2002.

Since then Hyundai has consistently demonstrated its strength in the sector, notably in the popular – and growing – C-segment. The Tucson has been a top-10 SUV in this segment since 2004, selling 63.000 units across Europe at its peak and taking over 20% of sales in the class. Its bigger brother, the Santa Fe, has reached similarly high peaks, with 62.000 sales and 16% market share, and has also placed in the segment’s top 10 every year since 2004.

“SUVs have been a cornerstone of our success for many years and have helped to raise awareness of the Hyundai brand in Europe,” says Allan Rushforth, Vice-President of Hyundai Motor Europe. “With Tucson in particular we have demonstrated our expertise in producing SUVs which not only meet consumer expectations but also help to shape the sector itself.”

Mr. Rushforth added, “Building on these strong foundations, we expect to capitalize on the growing market demand for compact SUVs with the introduction of the new ix35 – an efficient, Europe-focused model with real showroom appeal. It will join the ix55 and revised Santa Fe in a new-look range of SUVs, supporting the significant growth in market share we have achieved this year.”

The ix35 represents a major step forward for Hyundai in Europe. It is the first SUV to be conceived and engineered in Europe at the company’s Frankfurt-based design and technical centers. The newcomer embodies Hyundai’s new design language – ‘fluidic sculpture’ – and carries over much of the confident, sweeping styling of the ix-onic concept car, which starred at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.

The upgrades for Santa Fe include revisions to the powertrain, steering and suspension. Mated to the recently-launched diesel engine, codenamed ‘R’, these modifications have created a balanced and refined model, well suited to on-road and off-road demands.

Here it is – the first look at Lexus’ upcoming BMW 1-Series and Audi A3 rival. Lexus has just released this sketch with a tiny press release detailing which hall the concept will make its debut next month at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.

“The concept will demonstrate a mix of technical innovation and ground-breaking design that promises to raise the bar in the premium compact segment, ” Lexus said in a statement.

Rumors suggest that the 5-door hatchback will be powered by the same hybrid drivetrain from the 2010 Lexus HS 250h, which produces a total of 187-hp from a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine.
