If you didn’t already know, there is indeed an A-Team movie in the works and this is our first look at the official cast that will be playing our favorite characters. Bradley Cooper (who was seen in The Hangover) will play Face while UFC’s Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will play Mr. T as B.A. Baracus. Shartlo Copley will play Murdoch while Liam Neeson will lead the team as Hannibal.

You’re probably wondering what The A-Team has to do with cars. Well the black, red and metallic gray GMC Vandura van the A-Team used has become a pop culture icon. We’re looking forward to see what GMC came up with.

The A-Team is scheduled to hit theaters on June 11, 2010.

Michael Bay has confirmed that the third part of his Transformers series will be released on July 1, 2011.

“P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back,” Michael Bay said on his website. “I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep.”

Not plot details are available as of yet – but we’re really hoping that it’ll be better than Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

14-year old boy drinks gasoline to be like Optimus Prime: A 14-year old boy in China drank gasoline for five years to obtain ’special powers’ like his idols Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. The boy watched the animated TV series growing up and began drinking gasoline to become ”valiant fighter” his father said. “He began to drink gasoline five years ago, when we found he liked smelling lighter fuel,” he said. New GM to launch Cadillac fragrance line: I personally love the smell of gasoline and always wished that there was a cologne inspired by the smell of gas-stations. I guess this is the closest we’ll ever get it (alongside the Ferrari cologne). The new General Motors Company, fresh out of bankruptcy court, is planning a new fragrance line using its Cadillac brand. The fragrance for men does not smell like the interior of a new luxury car but more like a “mix of geranium, tarragon and cinnamon – plus sweet spice and incense.” – Star (via Jalopnik)

GM to sell the Chevrolet Volt on eBay: GM recently announced that it is talking to eBay about forming a new partnership to sell its cars on the famous auctioning site. Each unit of the Volt is likely to be built at a loss due to the amount of expensive technology. Today at Comic-con in San Diego, GM announced the release of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Special Edition allowing us Autobot fans a chance to become Sam Witwicky and have our very own Bumblebee parked in our garage.

“When the first TRANSFORMERS movie was setting box office records, we had countless customers asking to purchase the ‘BUMBLEBEE’ Camaro,” said Karen Rafferty, product marketing director, Chevrolet. “Now, they can buy one with the new Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition. Streets all over North America will be buzzing in no time.”

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition includes the following:

- AUTOBOT® shield on the driver and passenger side panels
- AUTOBOT® shield on each of the four wheel’s center cap
- AUTOBOT® shield embroidered on interior center console
- “TRANSFORMERS” logo on driver and passenger doors’ sill plates

- Manufacturer’s suggested retail price of package: $995

Nurburgring Insurance protects those who want to lap Nordschleife: Nurburgmotorsport is offering a package to protect those who want to lap the Ring’s Nordschleife. 2010 Infiniti M to debut at Pebble Beach: The 2010 Infiniti M sedan will make its debut for the first time at a press conference on August 14th at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Megan Fox cleaned Michael Bay’s Ferrari for Transformers audition: Director Michael Bay and actress Megan Fox have been on a fairly rocky relationship recently. In a recent interview, Fox said that Bay’s Transformers sequel was “not a movie about acting.” Bay eventually hit back saying Fox was “ridiculous” and said she “had some growing up to do.” Making it just a little more spicy, U.K. broadcaster Jason Solomons reported that Fox was forced to wash Bay’s Ferrari when she auditioned for her breakthrough role in Transformers. ”He made her wash his Ferrari while he filmed her,” Solomons said. When questioned, Fox said that she “didn’t know what had happened to that footage.”  When Solomons asked Bay, he said :”Er, I don’t know where it is either.” I think we have the footage somewhere around our office. – SFGate

July is finally here and we’re awaiting delivery of our 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS as we write this – yes, we are crazy excited right now. Either way, the show must go on and we must fill you in on the random things we’ve come across today on the World Wide Web. Oh, and you can be sure we’ll post a picture of the Camaro SS when it is delivered.

Top 10 most confusing things about Transformers 2: We’re pretty sure by now most of you have seen Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. We checked it out for the second time yesterday and we have to admit – it was a bit disappointing. While, we’re huge fans of Transformers, the sequel was a bit disappointing and we picked up on some very confusing things in the plot of the movie the second time around. Yahoo! Movies has now put together the list of the 10 most confusing things about Transformers 2 some of which we definitely agree with. Where does Sam’s bandage come from? What about his extra sock? Why does Sam’s roommate not contribute anything at all? What was the Fallen doing for those thousands of years Megatron was frozen in ice? Tesla Motors files for Eberhard lawsuit dismissal: Tesla has reportedly filed for a legal motion asking the San Mateo Count courts to get what it calls a “twisted” and “baseless” lawsuit by co-founder Martin Eberhard to be dismissed. Last month, Eberhard sued Tesla for slander and breach of contract. – Inside Line

Chrysler Financial to cut about 350 jobs in restructuring: Chrysler Financial will cut about 350 jobs and close a couple of customer service centers due to tight credit and weak car sales. It said that it will cut its workforce by about 9 percent. – Reuters

After months and months of waiting, the sequel for Transformers is finally here. We were one of the many geeks to go watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning, where it made $16 million on the midnight showings alone.

The movie ended up grossing more than $55 million, scoring the best opening ever for a Wednesday release at the box office. The previous record was held by “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” which made $44.2 million in its opening-day.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is playing in more than 4,200 theaters in the United States.

Our two cents: We (I’m speaking for the rest of the egmCarTech team as well)  liked the first one better and if you’re a true Transformers fan (meaning it’s all about Autobots vs. Decepticons) you’ll love the second one as well. If you’re looking to watch a movie with an outstanding story line and amazing acting – don’t hold your breath. Nonetheless, it’s the heart-pumping action that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start-to-finish.

You better believe we’re going to head to the theaters on the eve of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen release date and catch good seating for a midnight show.

It’s a bond between man and machine that very few understand and it seems like these Chinese citizens take it to the next level.

Celebrating the release of the sequel, a bunch of Transformers, Bumblebee and Camaro fans in China got together to go on a parade. It seems like on one Camaro was on hand, while others took their yellow Chevrolet Cruze, Honda Accords and Nissans and tricked them out with black striping to show support for their favorite AutoBot.

Slowing down or even stopping passerbys in their tracks is nothing new to Brad Pitt. Using Pitt’s popularity to their advantage, the Russian traffic police is now using cutouts of the Hollywood’s stars face to slow down drivers in the most dangerous intersection in the city of Omsk.

Traffic accidents in Russia are amongst the highest in Europe. The move is the latest effort by authorities to put a stop to their endless battle against speeding.

“The campaign seems to be working.” says Dimtry Ziryanov, a local official who came up with the idea. Pitt is “kind of like a colleague for us.”

Michael Bay’s Transformers series gets the best of most of us nerds and auto enthusiasts. The thought of our cars turning into robots to save mankind is not only out of this world, but something only ‘geeks’ can imagine. GM will be offering a limited-edition 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Bumblebee Package, which we expect will go for a hefty price tag.

And what do you do when you don’t have the money to pay for an exclusive limited-edition Bumblebee Camaro? You build one for yourself. Take this huge Chevrolet Camaro and Bumblebee fan in China.

Story goes that he couldn’t afford the U.S. equivalent of $200,000 for a brand new Camaro in China and decided to buy the Chevrolet Cruze instead. He then ‘transformed’ his car into a ‘Bumblebee Cruze’ instead of the ‘Bumblebee Camaro.’

Brilliant. AutoBots… roll out.

Linkin Park released their new single, ‘New Divide,’ for the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Soundtrack; GM announced it will be offering a limited edition Bumblebee 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Package; and now, director Michael Bay has just released three TV spots for the new sequel.

Jason Drees of Symdon Chevrolet-Pontiac in Wisconsin has just confirmed that GM will be offering a limited-edition 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Bumblebee package, which will be available to order starting June 1. Production of the limited-edition Bumblebee 2010 Camaro will run from June 24 to December.

The package will be available on LT and SS models and will feature the Rally Yellow with black Bumblebee stripes and Transformers badging on wheel centers, sill plates and embroidered console lid.

Most likely influenced by the movie itself, thieves stole the blue Nissan Skyline from the Fast & Furious movie from a storage facility in Sun Valley, Los Angeles. Thieves reportedly stole the car in a matter of 10 minutes.

The car was actually a Skyline GT-S model that had been modified to look like a turbocharged Nissan GT-R. It took professional driver Chris Milano about two years to built the car for its movie debut (in the movie it took O’Connor only 10 seconds to finish the car).

The thieves stole the car Monday night after getting through metal doors and sideswiping a Studebaker and Porsche Boxster on their way out. The car is estimated to carry a price tag of $75,000 and was not insured.

After posting many stories of the auto industry taking the biggest hit in its history in years, we wrap today up with something that will get you pretty excited for June 24, 2009. For all you Autobot, Bumblebee, Megan Fox and Chevrolet Camaro fans, that date stands for the release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Trailer no.3 is longer, louder and filled with more excitement getting us restless for the release to the sequel of our favorite movie. It even features our favorite piece from the original Transformers score soundtrack – Scorponok.
