“With all of the enhanced features, the LX 570 offers perhaps the most exciting combination of luxury, on-road smoothness and off-road performance of any vehicle in its segment,” said Mark Templin, group vice president and general manager, Lexus Division.

Power for the 2013 Lexus LX 570 still comes from a 5.7 liter V8 making 383-hp and a maximum torque of 403 lb-ft.

Besides a new design, for 2013, the Lexus LX 570 received an updated Crawl Control feature, new Turn Assist system, a Multi-terrain Select system and the company’s new Lexus Enform infotainment system.

Buyers can also opt for the Luxury Package ($1,510), which includes a cool box for beverages, semi-aniline leather-trimmed upholstery with new contrast stitching, a heated steering wheel, new mahogany wood-trimmed door switch plates, a rear-center armrest cover, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seat and Smart Access card key. On top of that, buyers can add a rear-seat entertainment package priced at $2,005.

Lexus introduced a new update for their most Spartan SUV ever: the all-new 2013 glorified-up Land Cruiser Lexus LX 570.

Other than some aesthetic changes such as a revised grille, front fascia, headlamps, taillamps and both front and rear bumpers, the 2013 LX 570’s 5.7L Tundra 3UR-FE V8 carries over unchanged for the 2013 update. So that means the LX 570 is still good for 383hp and 403 lb-ft of torque through six gear ratios.

Considering the LX 570’s Toyota Land Cruiser roots, that means this puppy is as much of a luxo-off-roader as the Range Rover. As a result, for the 2013 year, the LX 570’s “Crawl Control” has been updated to help its owners navigate parking lots and hop curbs with even more ease than ever so as to avoid spilling the extra-large latte sitting in the cup holder—and to keep the baby(ies) from being awoken.

Lexus has yet to announce when the updated LX 570 will be available and whether there’s a change in price or not. But I’m sure we could expect that information to pop up within the next couple months.

2011 Toyota Sequoia

Toyota said today that it will be increasing U.S. pricing on most of its vehicles ranging from 1.2 percent to 2.2 percent. The increase extends across the Toyota, Lexus and Scion brands and takes effect in May. The announcement comes as Toyota largely remains shut down in Japan after the massive March 11 earthquake.

The price increases will start with cars built in North America in May and for imported cars that are ordered from Japan in May.

Buyers will see price increases ranging from $200 for the Toyota Yaris hatchback and $900 for the Toyota Land Cruiser and Sequoia. The 2011 Scion xD receives an MSRP increase of $65 or 0.4 percent. The Lexus price adjustments range from $600 for the GX 460 to $900 for the IS-F, LS sedans, GS 450h and the LX 570.

The only 2011 models that won’t see a price increase include the Tacoma, Yaris sedan, Scion tC, Scion xB, Lexus CT 200h and the Lexus LFA.

ASI Lexus LX 570 Invader

Japanese tuning firm ASI has released a new modification package for the Lexus LX 570, which make it look like and perform like it’s been taking steroids. Known as the LX 570 Invader, ASI says that their version of the luxury SUV is one of the most thrilling off-roading vehicles out there.

While exact performance figures were not released by ASI, the tuner is providing an upgrade performance package for the 376-hp 5.7L V8. ASI says that their modifications can give the Lexus LX 570 a total of 592-hp and the ability to go from 0-62 mph in under 5 seconds.

Lexus has teamed up with numerous tuning firms to create eight project vehicles for the 2008 SEMA Show. Besides our favorite 2009 Lexus Project GS by Five Axis, ICON caught the attention of SUV lovers with their version of the Lexus LX 570.

The ICON Lexus LX 570 sports a two-tone matte gray paint on the outside along with black chrome trim and emblems. The interior wood panels were replaced with carbon fiber surface effect coatings. The ICON Lexus LX 570 rides on 24-inch MOZ Calgary wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico 285/35R-24 tires.

Performance wise, ICON gave the LX 570 a custom intake system, a new stainless steel exhaust system and 6-pistons on the front and 4-pistons on the rear braking system.
