One of the most exclusive cars in the world has just gotten a little more exclusive and a little sexier. Meet the convertible version of the Lamborghini Reventon – the Reventon Roadster. We’re guessing the Reventon Roadster will sell out in less than a month, if it hasn’t already.

Lamborghini says it will produce less than 20 units of the Reventon Roadster – many of which we think will surprisingly end up in Dubai.

After all the rumors and leaked shots, we can now officially bring you the most ultimate open-top two-seater we’ve ever seen in our lifetime – the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster. It will make its world debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show tomorrow.

Power for the Reventon Roadster comes from the same 6.5L V12 engine from the coupe making 660-hp with a maximum torque of 487 lb-ft. Mated to Lamborghini’s e.gear automated 6-speed sequential manual transmission, the Reventon Roadster can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph. What happens if you rollover at high-speeds? Lamborghini has fitted two pop-up bars behind the two seats that “deploy upwards in just a few hundredths of a second in the event of an imminent rollover.”

Lamborghini says that it will produce less than 20 units of the Reventon Roadster at its Sant’Agata Bolognese facility. Prices will start at a whopping 1.1 Million Euros ($1.6 million USD).

Yes, we almost forgot about the long-rumored drop-top version of Reventon – but here it is.

So far, rumor has it that the Lamborghini Reventon will be powered by a 670-hp 6.5L V12 from the recently unveiled Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce and that only 9 units will be produced.

We’ve been hearing about a drop-top version of the Lamborghini Reventon since March. In fact, just last month, it was reported that the Reventon Roadster was revealed to a select few; most likely clients with very deep pockets.

It is now rumored that Lamborghini will show the Reventon Roadster at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show next month. Of course it isn’t official until we here something from Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy – but we’d like to keep our hopes up.

Oh, and if you’re wondering what’s going to be under the hood – rumor has it that power will come from the 670-hp 6.5L V12 from the recently unveiled Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce. Only 9 units of the Reventon Roadster are expected to be produced.

We’ve been hearing about Lamborghini working on a limited edition Roadster version of the Reventon for some time now. According to Carsuk.net Lamborghini is unofficially revealing the Reventon Roadster today to likely clients.

It is said that the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster will be powered by the 670-hp 6.5L V12 from the recently unveiled Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce. Instead of 20 limited-edition units like the Reventon, Lamborghini will make just nine units of the roadster variant, which will start at a whopping €1,200,000 ($1.6 million USD).

We haven’t heard or seen anything official from Lamborghini as of yet, so we’re going to have to file this under “Rumors” for now.

Recent reports say that a successor to the Lamborghini Murcielago won’t arrive until 2012; however, that doesn’t mean Lamborghini designers and engineers are just sitting around doing nothing. 

Autogespot sources say that Lamborghini is hard at work on a new vehicle by the end of this year. The new bull is expected to carry a further developed engine from the Murcielago LP640 with more power and better performance. The new car, think of it as a successor to the Jota, will have a shorter wheelbase and a wider stance. Insiders say that a lot of lightweight materials will be used to reduce the weight of the body of the new model.

Other than that, a Lamborghini Reventon Roadster is due to be unveiled very soon.
