Hurst Performance has dropped some official details and high-res photos of its supercharged BF Goodrich/Hurst 2010 Mustang Pace Car. Did we say supercharged?

Yes, the V8 from the Mustang GT has supercharged to produce a total of 435-hp with a maximum torque of 400 lb-ft.

“The cars are distinctive, with painted gold racing stripes and official “Pace Car” logos on white,” says Hurts. “Each car has a special white convertible top, boot and interior.” Not to mention the 20-inch Hurst polished, forged aluminum wheels with gold painted center spokes are sure to attract some negative attention.

Hurst will only make 50 copies of the 2010 Hurst Ford Mustang Convertible Pace Car Series. Pricing starts at $36,450.

Irvine, Calif. (September 23, 2009) – Hurst Performance, a company responsible for some of the most iconic and collectible pace cars in racing history, announced today that it will build 50 limited production replicas of its supercharged BF Goodrich/Hurst 2010 Mustang Pace Car.

The original BF Goodrich/Hurst Mustang made its debut as the official pace car at the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge race on Sept. 19.

“Hurst has a unique place in the world of pace cars,” said Ron Flint, President of Hurst Performance Vehicles. “We are privileged to honor Hurst’s history and again build cars that are fun to collect and even more fun to drive.”

The stunning limited production Hurst Mustang Pace Cars feature massive 20″ Hurst polished, forged aluminum wheels with gold painted center spokes wrapped in BFGoodrich g-Force™ KDW tires for maximum performance.

The cars are distinctive, with painted gold racing stripes and official “Pace Car” logos on white. Each car has a special white convertible top, boot and interior. The exterior delivers HURST identity with subtle detailing and features including real metal badges and a unique HURST AIR-SPEED® rear deck spoiler.

The gold HURST T-handle shifter is the centerpiece of the interior for both manual and automatic cars and the seats and floor mats feature the famous Hurst gold and black “H” logos.

Handling and attitude are provided by Eibach, with Hurst-tuned coil over shocks, springs and sway bars. Under the hood, the supercharged engine pounds out 435+ horsepower and over 400 lb.-ft of torque with Magnaflow custom-tuned stainless steel performance exhaust finishing off the sound and performance statement with authority.

Each limited edition production car comes with a commemorative edition etched metal dash badge, autographed signatures from the Hurst Team in the trunk and a Certificate of Authenticity confirming its collectability and provenance. Now that its run with the Ford Mustang Racing Challenge is over, the unique and highly-collectible original Pace Car will make special appearances at numerous race tracks, car shows, parades and even SEMA, before being auctioned for charity at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction in January 2010.

Proceeds of the auction will go towards benefiting the newest Victory Junction Camp in Kansas City, KS to enrich the lives of children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses. (June 29, 2009) – Hurst Performance Vehicles, one of the most recognized and respected names in automobile history, announced that it has teamed up with newly appointed Hurst Director Emeritus and legendary performance visionary, “Doc” Watson, to build two new Special Edition Hurst/Pontiacs – a 2010 HURST/Pontiac H.O. version of the G8 and a G6 convertible. Hurst Performance in Irvine, California, will hand-build only 52 examples of the 2010 HURST/Pontiac H.O. – a modern-day version of George Hurst’s “Executive Hot Rod”. These numbered cars will feature Hurst’s iconic white/gold and black/gold colors along with forged alloy Hurst wheels, an exclusive Hurst shifter, supercharged engine, suspension mods and a specially trimmed interior.

Hurst will also commemorate Doc’s famous Pace Cars and build ten HURST/Pontiac G6 convertibles to be used as parade and special event cars.

These new HURST/Pontiac’s are yet another chapter in his illustrious career.

Even though Chrysler is going through a very hard financial time, Hurst Performance Vehicles said yesterday that it has opened the doors of its new California Performance Center in Irvine. The new 50,000 sq-ft complex will provide space for 60 employees that will hand build the many tuning stages of the 2009 Hurst/Hemi Dodge Challenger.

Hurst said that production and deliveries of the 2009 Hurst/Hemi Dodge Challenger and the 50th Anniversary Hurst/Viper is set to begin immediately.

The Hurst Hemi Dodge Challenger is available in five performance stage for the Dodge Challenger R/T and SRT8 with prices starting at $18,350 for the R/T upgrade packages and $17,450 for the SRT8 packages.

Hurst Performance today dropped us some photos of the new 50th Anniversary Hurst/Viper that we heard about earlier last month. The pictures show SERAIL #01 of only 50 that will be built by the Hurst Performance Vehicle Group. Unit one will be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction on Jan. 17 with the proceeds being donated to Victory Junction, a year-round camping facility for children for chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses.

Unit no. 1 will be the only model that will come in Gold with Black stripes. The other 49 units of the 50th Anniversary Hurst/Viper will come in two exclusive colors including Black with Gold stripes and White with Gold stripes to honor the Golden Anniversary of the vehicle.

Features on the 50th Anniversary Hurst/Viper include a new Hurst HARD-DRIVE gold anodized pistol-grip shifter, Hurst 19″ and 20″ polished aluminum wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires, Corsa exhaust and Moton Club Sport adjustable coil-over suspension with Eibach springs. Interior upgrades feature special Katzkin charcoal leather with Hurst embroidered logos, gold thread detailing and perforated leather inserts.

50th Anniversary Hurst/Viper SERIAL #01:

Hurst Performance Vehicles has just announced that it will be building a limited edition series Hurst/Viper to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary. The 50th Anniversary Hurst/Viper will feature “an impressive list of performance enhancements and classic Hurst color combinations.” Hurst will only make 50 units that it will begin building in later this month.

No official performance figures have been release as of yet but Hurst says the limited-edition Viper will feature “the new Hurst HARD-DRIVE gold pistol-grip shifter, Hurst forged aluminum wheels, Katzkin leather interior, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires, Corsa exhaust and Moton Club Sport adjustable coil-over suspension with Eibach springs.”

The 50th Anniversary Hurst/Viper will be available in combinations of Black with Gold stripes and White with Gold stripes to honor the Golden Anniversary. Inside the special-edition viper will feature special Katzkin charcoal leather with Hurst embroidered logos and gold thread detailing with perforated leather inserts.

Unit No.1 will feature a unique flat-finish Hurst Gold exterior paint, black racing stripes and black-chrome Hurst wheels. It will be auctioned off at the 2009 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction on January 17th alongside the first unit of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro.

Hurst Performance Vehicles has announced the details and pricing for the new 2009 Hurst/Hemi Dodge Challenger. The Hurst Hemi Dodge Challenger is available in five performance stage for the Dodge Challenger R/T and SRT8 with prices starting at $18,350 for the R/T upgrade packages and $17,450 for the SRT8 packages.

The Series 2 vehicles will be available through participating Dodge dealers nationwide while Series 3, 4 and 5 vehicles will only be available from Hurst and can be ordered through the company’s website (www.hurst-performance.com).

For those of you still wondering, the Hurst Performance packages do not include the base price of the vehicle.
