John Hennessey’s much-anticipated Venom GT was scheduled to make its debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show but we guess they realized it would be overlooked by the million of Geneva debuts. The model will now make its world-debut on March 30th (hopefully it’ll be at the 2010 New York Auto Show) and we’re eagerly anticipating its first public appearance.

The new Hennessey Venom GT is built on a stretched Exige platform, which is nearly two feet longer in length and nearly a foot in width. Power for the Venom GT comes from an upgraded LS9 from the Corvette ZR1 making 750-hp. If that’s not enough for you, Hennessey is also offering a twin-turbocharged LS9 producing 1,000-hp and 1,000 lb-ft of torque in street spec and 1,200-hp in full-race spec. Power is sent to the rear-wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.

Weighing in at just 2,395 lbs, the 1,000-hp model goes from 0 to 60 mph in 2.2 seconds with a top speed of 262 mph.

If you’re not excited for March 30th by now, then we don’t know what’s going to get you pumped.

Prices for the Venom GT are expected to start at $600,000 for the base model. The 1,200-hp model will run you $725,000.

The folks at Hennessey Performance have gotten their hands on the new Lincoln MKS EcoBoost and strapped on a couple of modifications to the 355-hp 3.5L V6 twin-turbocharged EcoBoost unit. Their upgrades resulted in a horsepower increase to 435-hp with a maximum torque of 405 lb-ft. That allows the Hennessey MaxBoost 435 (that’s what they call it) to go from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and to run the 1/4 mile in 13 seconds at 106 mph.

Hennessey Performance Engineering has announced that it is working on developing power upgrades for the new 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor pickup with the 5.4L being the main focus. The tuner says that high-performance engine upgrades will increase output anywhere from between 450-hp to 1,000-hp.

In the mean time, Hennessey has its VelociRaptor 500 available for order.  Upgrades include a new Supercharger System for the 5.4L V8 along with custom fuel rails, upgraded fuel-injectors, stainless steel headers, a stainless steel exhaust system and engine management software calibration. All the modifications help the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor return 501-hp with a maximum torque of 520 lb-ft. That allows for a 0-60 mph run in 5.6 seconds with and a quarter mile run in 14.1 seconds at 97 mph.

Hennessey is also working on upgrades for the Raptor with the 6.2L Coyote engine.

In May 2009, Hennessey Performance unveiled its performance package for the Cadillac CTS-V sedan. Kicking of the lineup is the V600 package, which give the CTS-V 610-hp, allowing for a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 195 mph. Next up is V650 package, which provides an extra 40 horses.

However, the most exciting of all the packages is the V700 package, which allows for 700-hp. 0 to 60 mph comes in 3.1 seconds. Hennessey recently decided to take the V700 CTS-V to the drag strip where it ran 11.14 at 129.95 mph.

After all the waiting and development, Hennessey has finally unveiled the new 2010 HPE700 LS9 Chevrolet Camaro that will be introduced at the 2009 SEMA show next week. Hennessey will only make 24 units of the HPE700 and 10 of them have already been sold.

Based on the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS with a 6-speed manual transmission, the HPE700 features a LS9 6.2L Supercharged with intercooler allowing a total of 725-hp with a maximum torque of 741 lb-ft. 0-60 mph comes in just 3.5 seconds while the quarter mile run takes 11.3 seconds at 126 mph. Stopping power comes from Brembo brakes that bring the HPE700 from 60-0 mph in 104 ft.

Hennessey says that it is also offering a 850-hp twin-turbo upgrade and a 1,000-hp twin-turbo upgrade.

Hennessey Performance Engineering is well known for its modified American muscle. However, next week at the 2009 SEMA Show, Hennessey will show a modified 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe that pushes an outstanding 500-hp.

The Hennessey 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe features a Hennessey Custom Single Turbo System, Precision 66 mm ball bearing turbocharger, Tial blow-off valve and 44 mm wastegate, a HKS boost controller and upgraded injectors and fuel pump. You’ve already seen the new Hennessey HPE550 Camaro pump out a whopping 562-hp. It is basically the car that helped us get over the fact that the official Chevrolet Camaro Z28 will be delayed. Guess what? Hennessey has no plans to stop at 562-hp.

Hennessey Performance Engineering has introduced its new 705-hp Z700 upgrade package for the 2010 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 for those that believe that “too much horsepower is never enough.”

The Z700 performance package carries an upgraded engine supercharger, exhaust and an air induction systems. Other performance enhancing upgrades include lightweight carbon fiber wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires, Z-Aero carbon fiber front splitter, canards and a rear spoiler adding 300 lbs of additional downforce. 0 to 60 mph comes in just 2.9 seconds.

HPE said that it will be testing the Z700 on the Nurburgring in late 2009. It will produce just 24 copies of the Z700 Corvette ZR1 for the 2010 model year. Those who purchase the package will also get 1-day of performance driving instruction in their new Z700 at Hennessey’s own private test track.

The next-generation Chevrolet Camaro Z28 won’t arrive until 2011 – some time after the convertible Camaro makes its debut. That will give the 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 some time to eat up some of the high-performance muscle car segment. However, if you can’t wait until ’some time after 2011,’ Hennessey is offering its HPE550 performance package for the Camaro that takes output up to 562-hp (the Camaro Z28 is rumored to get the 556-hp 6.2L LSA V8 supercharged engine from the Cadillac CTS-V).

The folks at Inside Line happened to have the new 2010 Shelby GT500 and Hennessey’s HPE550 on hand at the same time and decided to put the two high-performance muscle cars head-to-head.

When Hennessey Performance Engineering first received their 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS, they did what every muscle car owner should would do – a burnout followed by a quarter-mile run.

Now, before Hennessey threw in their 562-hp HPE550 upgrade, the stock 2010 Camaro SS ran the quarter-mile test in 13.6 seconds at 107.9 mph. After taking it to the drag strips and doing a burnout, Hennessey decided to throw in its new HPE550 Supercharged package into their latest creation and took it on a dyno run. As if the 556-hp 6.2L V8 in the Cadillac CTS-V wasn’t powerful enough already, Hennessey has went ahead and created a more powerful version of the Caddy beast giving those looking for (if you will) a ZR1 Sedan.

First in the lineup is the V600 package, which give the CTS-V a total of 610-hp allowing for a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.7 seconds (base CTS-V goes from rest to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds) with a top speed of 195-mph. Hennessey is offering 40 more horsepower with the V650 package.

Those looking for insane power can opt for the V700 package which allows for 700-hp. 0 to 60 mph comes in 3.1 seconds. 

A V800 package is also available allowing for 800-hp and a maximum torque of 780 lb-ft.

Hennessey Performance Engineering is claiming to have built the fastest R35 Nissan GT-R in the world – and while it’s April 1, we’re not kidding.

Using its GTR700 upgrade kit (which adds turbos, inter-coolers, blowoff valve and electronic boost controller), Hennessey’s Nissan GT-R produces 725-hp with a maximum torque of 630 lb-ft. That allows for a 0 to 60 mph run in just 2.8 seconds.

The top speed record was set at the March Texas Mile event where the Hennessey tuned GT-R went from 0 to 193.7 mph in 1mile.

The Hennessey GTR700 can be purchased for $18,500 or $24,500 installed.

So we all know by now that the 556-hp Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is on the back burner of GM’s product plans as they look for ways to reduce manufacturing costs. But there are people out there that are still looking for more than the 426-hp offered by the Camaro SS.

Tuner Hennessey has come to the rescue. Hennessey is offering its HPE550 upgrade for the Camaro SS that allows the GM LS3 V8 to produce a whopping 562-hp with a maximum torque of 557 lb-ft. 0 to 60 mph comes in just 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 119 mph.

If you’re the do-it-yourself type, Hennessey will send you a HPE550 package for $18,950 plus shipping. If you’d rather have Hennessey work on your Camaro SS labor costs will bring the pricing up to $24,950 (of course you’d have to provide your $31,000 Camaro SS).

If 562-hp isn’t enough, Hennessey is also offering the HPE700 Camaro package which uses the LS9 Supercharged V8 that is found in the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. The engine is tuned to produce 705-hp with a maximum torque of 717 lb-ft. The LS9 upgrade will set you back $39,500.

Oh, and if that’s not enough, Hennessey is also offering 850-hp and a 1,000-hp twin-turbo upgrade for $54,500 and $59,500, respectively.

2010 HPE700 Camaro:

About two days ago we brought you a video of retired John Heinricy taking the 2009 Corvette ZR1 with a Hennessey ZR700 package around a track. At first we thought the former head of GM’s Performance Division was just having some fun while feeding his need for speed. Well, it seems like Heinricy and Hennessey are up to something more… much more.

Apparently Heinricy, who drove the Cadillac CTS-V around the Nurburgring in a lap time of 7:59.32, is working with Hennessey Performance to take the Corvette ZR1 back to Green Hell for another crack at a record breaking time. The production version of the Corvette ZR1 currently sites in fifth-place in the world of Nurburgring lap times with 7:26.4 under its belt.

Heinricy and Hennessey are now planning to head back to the Nurburgring with a modified Corvette ZR1 with a 705-hp ZR700 Hennessey package under the hood. The ZR700 allows the Corvette ZR1 to go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds with a top speed of 212 mph.
