What happens when you cut into a McDonald’s drive-through line and refuse to move your car and go to the back of the line? You get the cops called on you and get a tased.

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, deputies tased a woman who wouldn’t surrender after cutting into a McDonald’s drive-through line.

Evangeline Marrero Lucca, 37, pulled up to the window of McDonald’s on Legion Road, and held up the line for about 20 minutes before officers arrived. Staff at the McDonald’s said that Lucca frequently drove her Ford Taurus up to the pickup window, bypassing the order screen, payment window and other customers to order her food.

“She did not want to wait in line,” Debbie Tanna, a Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said. “They told her she had to go around and wait like everybody else did and place her order that way, that they weren’t set up at that window to take her order or take her money. … She wasn’t having any of that. When we arrived, she really got mad.”

Two or three cops on the scene tried to get her out of the car but she just wounding budge until they tased her twice and she flopped out the car like a fish.

Automakers stole the show when it came to Super Bowl XLVI commercials. However, behind the scene FoMoCo was complaining about a Chevrolet Silverado commercial that took a stab at Ford. Apparently, General Motors ignored a request from Ford to cancel the commercial before it made its television debut last night.

The ad, which shows the Chevrolet Silverado being the only truck to survive an apocalypse, takes a stab at Ford when one of the main characters asks about the fate of one his friends.

“Dave didn’t drive the longest lasting, most dependable truck on the road,” another friend tells him. “Dave drove a Ford.”

“What’s important is that Ford is proud to be the best-selling truck in America for 35 years, the best-selling vehicle for 30 years and the only brand with more trucks on the road with more than 250,000 miles — demonstrating just how durable our trucks are in the real world,” Ford said in a statement.

The General isn’t backing down, however. ”We stand by our claims in the commercial, that the Silverado is the most dependable, longest lasting full-size pickup on the road,” said Joel Ewanick, GM Global Chief Marketing Officer in a statement. In the meantime, people who are really worried about the Mayan calendar coming true should buy a Silverado right away.” Ewanick jokingly added.

Check out the commercial for yourself after the jump.

Riding a motorcycle in the Untied States comes with a lot of responsibility, rules and regulations – and rightfully so since it is one of the most dangerous forms of transportation if you’re involved in any sort of accident.

Well, on the other side of the world (India to be specific), things are a little different.

It seems like in this day and age of newer is better, old Mercedes-Benzes tend to go overlooked and are often underappreciated. It’s rather unfortunate since their cars have been reputed for so many superlatives that even today, only those who do appreciate them—like me, hardcore—are the ones who never forget.

But even for those who need a refresher, most of you will agree that old Mercedes-Benzes have truly proven themselves to withstand the test of time and wear and tear.

Either way, rappers Jan Emil Wathne and Ivar Kjetland have paid their tribute via a rap music video to the W201 190-class Mercedes-Benzes, the father to the current C-Class and arguably one of the last true Mercedes-Benzes ever made—most argue between the W124 E-Class and W140 S-Class.

It is actually quite amusing, so check it out after the jump.

Over in motherland Russia, marketers and advertisers for Marlboro—yes, the American tobacco company—recently pulled an interesting stunt using an Audi and projection mapping. Ok, before I continue, what the heck is that?

Projection mapping is where a series of artists and technicians turn virtually any surface into a projection screen, whether it be two-dimensional or even three.

That said, Radugadesign, a Russian marketing team, took an Audi and put it on a stage where its backdrop wasn’t the only projection screen, the Audi itself was too.

Of course when viewing the ad, some including myself couldn’t help but laugh at the counter intuitiveness of the advertisement. As displayed in the video, Marlboro clearly shows off that smoking is “cool,” something that’s been a heavy topic of debate ever since, well, tobacco existed. And then following the advertisement, a video commenter pointed out that a message was displayed in plain Russian: smoking kills! Gotta love advertising.

Check it out after the jump. Good or bad message aside, the projection mapping result is a very neat performance.

What if Ken Block were to take is new H.F.H.V Ford Fiesta rally race car to the streets of LA? Well, that’s exactly what he did recently to test out the new SYNC system on his race prepped Fiesta.

Block’s Ford Fiesta RS WRC HFHV, which stands for Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle, had its normal 1.6L four-banger replaced with a Pipo Moteurs-built, 2.0L four-banger.

It’s definitely difficult as an everyday drive – but nothing is difficult for the Block.

There are a lot of women in this world that can drive – sometimes better than men, take Danica Patrick for example. However, there are also a lot of women in this world that can’t park for their lives.

While many of you have probably seen women with huge SUVs performing a horrible parking job, the woman in this video takes a horrible parking job to a whole new level.

Parking a Smart ForTwo really can’t be that hard!

We love funny parking ticket stories but this one has to be the best. Police in Sicily issued an outstanding 32,000 euros ($44,500) fine to a lady who illegally parked her car and added up 2,000 years of interest by mistake.

The police man issued a ticket that dated the fine back to 208 instead of 2008 – that means the interest was calculated from the year 208 A.D.

“When she opened the envelope with the parking fine, the owner of the vehicle had a dizzy turn and had to be taken to hospital,” Italy’s Repubblica newspaper said.

The policeman later corrected the mistake and the woman’s husband paid the 102 euros that was actually due.

The description to the video goes as follows:

“caught this on my iphone during a cab ride in brooklyn: a cop was giving these two guys a ticket because their van was parked by an expired parking meter and one of them got really mad and cut off the meter with a saw!!! gotta love brooklyn ”

Steve Jobs, who passed away earlier this month, was a man that loved to live by his rules. Despite his innovative creations at Apple, Jobs liked to leave certain things in his life the way they were – such as his famous black turtleneck, jeans and New Balance sneakers. Apparently, the same went for Jobs’ ride.

Jobs became well know for being seen driving a silver Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG with no license plates. Rumor had it that Jobs didn’t care about paying the fines or had obtained a special permit to drive without displaying a number. But that’s not the case.

A former Apple executive told iTWire.com that Jobs found a loophole in California vehicle law to legally drive without license plates. What loophole? In California, an owner of a vehicle is exempt from displaying a plate during the first six months of ownership.

Jobs struck a deal with a leasing agency and dealer that would allow him to trade in his silver Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG before the deadline, ensuring he wouldn’t break the law. Every 6 months, Jobs would receive an identical new silver SL55 sports car.

Source: iTWire

It seems that some of the populous in Bainbridge, Ohio were growing tired of the usual ways to embarrass themselves, so a couple weeks ago, Erin B. Holdsworth, 28, lead police on a 128-mile per hour chase.

To, well, not exactly top it off, when Holdsworth stepped out of the car, police noticed she was wearing only a g-string and tennis shoes.

Police apprehended Holdsworth after using a stinger to puncture two of her tires; she was charged with driving under the influence, speeding, fleeing police and reckless driving and driving with a suspended license.

If you jump in an economy or luxury car from the fifties, you might find the interior to be suited more for slimmer figures, back when obesity wasn’t really an issue. Jump to today and all marques are dealing with a common problem: obesity and to a slightly lesser extent, height. The auto industry wasn’t designing for the larger population in the ’80s either; I have a 6’ 6” friend who cannot shut the driver’s door in my BMW E30 because his legs will not fit. The issue isn’t limited to cockpit size as many obese people have difficulties turning 140 degrees to look behind them while parking. So manufacturers have invented ultrasonic parking and rear-view cameras to in part, solve the problem.

According to the Lancet, 11 million people in England will be classified as obese by 2030; already over 60 percent of English adults are obese with one third of 10-11-year-olds as well. Resulting from these sorts of studies, Mercedes has strengthened grab handles to deal with greater weights. Honda has increased the width of their seats by 2 inches and will be fitting larger buttons to upcoming models as a result of what some may call “sausage fingers.”

BMW is taking a slightly different approach, recruiting some 800 obese people to participate in a study dubbed “Plump My Ride” so that BMW can “find out how [obesity] limits [the customers’] range of motion and how our vehicles can adapt to the changing needs of our customers.” said Ralf Kaiser, a member of the firm’s ergonomics team.

Even Porsche are fitting steering wheels that rise out of the way of larger thighs after the engine has been shut off for easier egress on cars such as the Panamera. “The study will mean we can look at things more scientifically and build a car that at least 95% of people can use,” summarized Kaiser.
