The 1-4 Crate Engine ‘Concept’ is also expected to be added to the line of motors. Ford says that other configurations will follow soon after, including a turbocharged Ecoboost.

“With the introduction of several all-new B- and even C-Segment Ford cars and small utilities now powered by Ford’s latest global 2.0-liter I-4 engine architecture, Ford Racing will be making a variety of these new four-cylinder powertrains available to enthusiasts as part of its FRPP Crate Engine program,” Ford said in a statement.

Nine will be available in total. They range from a small-block V8 sized from 3.2 to 427 cubic inches, with up to 600-hp choices available. The engines include a Z363 pushrod crate engine based on a 302 stroker, bored out to 4.125 inches, producing 500-hp, and an X427 based on the 427 FE makes power for SUV’s. The Aluminator NA, Aluminator SC, and Coyote versions are all 5.0-liter V8 variants.

Featured in the National Mustang Racer’s Association, the engines will be in a class titled the “Coyote Stock”, and all will be using a spec engine controller.

The 2012 FRPP Crate Engine lineup includes:

Z363 500 HP Pushrod Crate Engine

Following the hot-rodding adage that there’s no substitute for cubic inches, Ford Racing has taken the popular 302-based stroker to the max with the 500 horsepower Z363 crate engine. By pushing the bore out to 4.125 inches, displacement of the popular 347 stroker has been increased to 363 cubic inches. Combined with improved Mahle® pistons, the Z363 makes 50 more horsepower and 50 more foot-pounds of torque than the Z347 that it replaces. Nothing but the best parts are used inside, including: forged crankshaft; forged I-beam connecting rods; floating piston pins; and a high-performance oiling system.

Built with the BOSS 302 block and Z304D aluminum heads, Z363 fits many of the vehicles originally built with a 289 or 302 block with 8.2-inch deck height. Ford Racing engineers designed the Z363 to work both on the street and at the strip, with a strong torque curve that delivers more than 390 foot pounds from 3,500 rpm up to the 6,500 rpm redline. With a compression ratio of 10.0:1, Z363 runs on unleaded premium pump gas, and is also available as a short block for those who want to build the engine to their own specifications.

X427 Crate Engine (p/n M-6007-X427FT/RT)

The company that created the famous 427 FE engine now offers another modern version of the legendary motor. The X427, designed for street use, has joined the Ford Racing Z427 that was introduced in 2010. Fitted with the legendary Ford Racing X-Heads, the X427 delivers 520 foot-pounds of torque. Built on Ford Racing’s new BOSS 351 block, this new 427 crate engine is engineered and built to deliver a strong, flat torque curve. That translates into tire-smoking acceleration for street rods, kit cars and muscle cars, and plenty of power and torque for light-duty pickups and SUVs.

5.0L Ti-VCT Aluminator NA p/n M-6007-A50NA

Ford Racing has taken the 5.0 Mustang GT’s 4-valve V-8 with twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT) and created another in its series of “Aluminator” crate engines that deliver even higher performance than before. The 5.0 Aluminator NA, with 11.0:1 compression ratio, is designed specifically for naturally aspirated, high-performance applications. Mahle® forged pistons are hard anodized with Graphal® low-friction coating. The connecting rods are premium Manley® H-beam with ARP® 2000 bolts, and fitted with BOSS 302 high-performance bearings.

The 5.0 Aluminator NA is a direct bolt-in for 2011-12 Mustang GT. It can be used in street rod or resto-mod builds using Ford Racing’s 5.0L engine controls pack (p/n M-6017-A504V).

5.0L Ti-VCT Aluminator SC P/N M-6007-A50NSC

This second new offering in Ford Racing’s 5.0 Mustang “Aluminator” crate engine line is another modern 5.0-liter, 32-valve DOHC V-8 that uses advanced features like Ti-VCT to deliver big power. This “Aluminator” is built with a 9.5:1 compression ratio, forged pistons and H-beam connecting rods to meet the demands of forced induction applications.

5.0L Ti-VCT Coyote ‘Sealed’ Racing Engine P/N M-6007-M50S

The popularity of today’s Mustang 5.0 “Coyote” engine has led to strong interest by sanctioning bodies to create new spec-racing classes for the engine. These spec engines are the same as the production Mustang GT’s 5.0 V-8, and are sealed by Ford Racing to ensure that none of the engine internals are changed.

The first organization to employ these engines will be the National Mustang Racer’s Association (NMRA) in a class called, “Coyote Stock.” All engines will use a spec engine controller.

Ford Racing designs and engineers components that fit perfectly and deliver optimal performance and durability. Only Ford Racing has access to proprietary design, testing and production resources that are vital in developing components worthy of wearing the Blue Oval. From engine internals and bolt-on power-adders to chassis kits designed and tuned for specific applications, Ford Racing has upgrades that are track-tested and race-proven.

Refresher: The 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 uses the same 5.0L V8 from the 2011 GT but to achieve the high-rpm horsepower to make it competitive on the track, Ford added a new intake, revised camshafts and a more aggressive control calibration. All that results in 440-hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. Power is transmitted to the wheels through a race inspired short-throw, close-ratio six-speed manual transmission handles gear change duties.

“The Fiesta is one of those vehicles that resonates with everybody ““ especially with the younger market. Whatever you”re into, it works,” said Melvin Betancourt, Ford specialty design manager. “It lends itself to a lot of different themes. It”s a perfect fit for the aftermarket and for customers who want to express their personality.”

Ford Racing Performance Parts will be putting out its own modified Fiesta concept at SEMA that will be powered by a production 2.0L EcoBoost, with an increase displacement to 2.3L to produce 350-hp

“The goal of our 350-horsepower Fiesta is really twofold ““ first to reinforce Fiesta”s fun-to-drive nature with an extreme version that captures the attention of the influential enthusiast, and second, to introduce the Ford Racing/EcoBoost connection in a way that”s unexpected and outrageous,” said Mickey Matus, Ford Racing Performance group marketing manager. “In both cases, we”re targeting the discriminating performance enthusiast with our message. After all, they are the people others rely on for automotive expertise and recommendations.”

Ford Fiestas will take center stage on the Ford stand at this year”s SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show, to be held Nov. 2-5 at the Las Vegas Convention Center

Ford Fiesta provides the perfect platform for customers and aftermarket companies looking to express themselves in a fun, unique way. Owners have already begun customizing their Fiestas with graphics and accessories available through Ford, and SEMA takes that customization to the next level

The all-new Ford Fiesta features an expressive, vibrant design, sharp reflexes, and a global track record that will redefine U.S. small car customers” expectations. With 15 available class-exclusive features and technologies and best-in-class highway fuel economy of up to 40 mpg, Fiesta brings efficiency and convenience together in one package

Dearborn, Mich., Oct. 7, 2010 ““ People love to modify small cars, so it”s no surprise that consumers and aftermarket companies are eager to get their hands on Ford”s hot-selling Fiesta, set to debut at this year”s SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show in Las Vegas Nov. 2-5.

“SEMA offers the perfect opportunity to showcase all the different ways the personalities of the Fiesta can be expressed,” said Sam De La Garza, Fiesta brand manager.

“It really shows how Fiesta can be accessorized and how this canvas can be altered to meet many different customer wants and desires,” De La Garza said. “SEMA represents a special opportunity, because we can show off unique designs that other companies have created. It”s not just Ford coming to the table. It”s other companies interpreting what Fiesta is, and bringing their own style to the Fiesta launch.”

Customization is something already familiar to Fiesta owners. Ford Custom Accessories offers almost anything an owner would need to put a creative touch on Fiesta or give the car even more functionality. Accessory options include exterior or interior design items such as an illuminated gear indicator shift knob and rear spoiler, even a kayak carrier to haul outdoor gear. Customers also can order a body-side tattoo, or choose from one of 18 available graphics to put their own mark on Fiesta.

“Small cars are unique in that people love to modify them, whether it”s the exterior, interior, or even performance parts,” De La Garza said.

Ford Racing Performance Parts is putting its own spin on a Fiesta at SEMA, outfitting a concept Fiesta in a way that is sure to get the hearts of high-performance enthusiasts pumping. The Fiesta will have a production-based 2.0-liter EcoBoost™ engine, enlarged to 2.3 liters to pump out 350 horsepower.

The car comes equipped with several Ford Racing Performance Parts options that are currently available atwww.fordracingparts.com.
Additionally, the car features Brembo brakes that offer the ultimate in stopping power, and Ohlins dual-flow valve dampers that deliver comfort and agility.

Ford Racing”s Fiesta will arrive in all-blue, pristine condition, and will be painted by a renowned artist during the show with the intention of auctioning the car in the future to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF).

Press Release:

FORD RACING UNVEILS THE NEXT GENERATION OF RACING MUSTANG IN THE NEW BOSS 302R

DEARBORN, Mich., Dec. 28, 2009 ““ Forty years after its namesake became a road racing legend, the BOSS is back on track for 2010 with a new 5.0-liter V-8 engine.

In honor of the 40th anniversary of Parnelli Jones” 1970 Trans-Am championship in a Mustang BOSS 302 prepared by Bud Moore Engineering, Ford Racing is introducing the BOSS 302R, a factory-built race car ready for track days and road racing in a number of Grand-Am, SCCA and NASA classes.

“To keep pace with consumer demand, the Ford team has built modern versions of the most iconic performance Mustangs over the years,” said Jamie Allison, director, Ford North America Motorsports. “From Shelbys to Bullitt, Mach and Cobra Jet, it is now time for BOSS to join the list of America”s most coveted Mustangs. The original BOSS 302 was a championship-winning legend and the new Mustang BOSS 302R will carry on the tradition. The Mustang was born to race from the start, and this new Mustang is bred to win.”

The Mustang BOSS 302R is a serialized off-road-only vehicle ready to race. Each base model will come with a 5.0-liter four-valve engine and a six-speed manual transmission with a roll cage, race seats, safety harness, data acquisition and race dampers/springs, and a Brembo brake and tire package, starting at an MSRP of $79,000.

And, with a special Grand-Am Homologation Package (M-FR500-BOSS R1), it will also be ready to compete in the Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge series (formerly known as KONI Challenge), starting with the season-opening race in Daytona on Jan. 29, 2010. As of today, five BOSS 302R race cars will be delivered to customers ready to race in Daytona. MSRP of the BOSS 302R1 is $129,000.

The Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge-ready Mustang BOSS 302R will feature a sealed high-output race engine with an upgraded cooling system, a close-ratio six-speed transmission with integral shifter, a seam-welded body, race suspension/KONI dampers and ABS brake tuning, race performance exhaust and a high-speed balance one-piece driveshaft.

The BOSS 302R follows in the very successful footsteps of its most recent road racing predecessor ““ the Mustang FR500C from Ford Racing. In 2005, when the Mustang FR500C debuted at Daytona, the first car was delivered on Wednesday of that week and won the KONI Challenge race on Friday.

In five years of competition since then, the Mustang FR500C has won three Triple Crown championships of driver, team and manufacturer”s titles in KONI competition including back-to-back (2008 and 2009). The FR500C has also seen success in FIA GT4 competition winning the 2007 and 2008 driver”s championships.

“We expect the BOSS 302R to continue the successful tradition of winning with factory-built production-based race cars from Ford Racing,” said Allison. “The FR500C and FR500S road racing Mustangs, and the Mustang FR500CJ (Cobra Jet) for drag racing have proven to be great cars for our customers, helping teams win races and championships. We believe that the BOSS 302R will provide that same sort of competitive product for our customers with the tradition you can only get from Ford Racing.”

Each Ford Racing factory-built production-based turnkey race car has won its competition debut.

“Racing has long served as a technical proving grounds for production engines,” said Allison. “What”s good enough for the streets is now good enough for the racetrack. The 5.0-liter block and architecture in the Mustang BOSS 302R is the same as the 2011 Mustang GT.”

“We have a great team on the BOSS 302R project,” said Andy Slankard, Ford Racing engineering supervisor and the lead engineer on the BOSS 302R project. “Between our partners at AutoAlliance International, where the Mustang is built, Team Mustang, Multimatic and the entire Ford Racing team, we have once again proven to be a leader in turnkey production-based race cars.”

Available through Ford dealers, a total of 50 BOSS 302R Mustangs will be built by Ford Racing. Delivery is anticipated in the third quarter of 2010.

Meet the 2011 FR Raptor XT (FR stands for Ford Racing of course) – the most expensive Ford to ever come out of Dearborn (as far as we can remember at least). - Electronically selectable 4×4; 4.56 gear sets; front and rear e-lockers
- A-arm with uni-ball front; four-link RR suspension
- 15-inch front/18-inch rear wheel travel
- Coil-over with bypass shocks front and rear
- Chromoly “4130″ rollcage; extensive skid plating
- Factory seating with five-point restraints
- Off-road beadlock wheel/tires
