Yesterday, we saw a Bugatti Veyron being pulled out of a lake in Texas after a man, who wishes to remain anonymous, lost control of the ultra hyper car.

We now have the video of the actual accident taking place. The amateur video was taken by some man who happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Apparently, the owner was distracted by a low-flying Pelican leading him to jerk the wheel and veer into the lagoon in approximately two feet of salty water.

Owning a car over $1 million is a huge responsibility and probably entails a lot of stress.

Meet this Bugatti Veyron owner who dropped the ultra supercar into a saltwater lagoon near Galveston in Texas. Apparently the owner (who wishes to remain anonymous for many reasons) was distracted by a low-flying Pelican leading him to jerk the wheel and veer into the lagoon in approximately two feet of salty water.

The man escaped with no injuries. As for the Veyron, the engine reportedly ran for a quarter of an hour before dying.

Would you rather have English pop star Cheryl Cole or Megan Fox in your passenger seat? Also, would you rather drive a Bugatti Veyron or an Aston Martin One-77? That was the question a poll by MPH Prestige & Performance Motor Show asked 13,000 visitors to MSN Cars.

The result? Men fantasize about driving a Bugatti Veyron with Cheryl Cole more than any other vehicle or woman – including Megan Fox and an Aston Martin One-77.

Cole acquired 24 percent of the “perfect passenger” vote, while Megan Fox came in second with 21 percent. Jessica Alba came in 3rd with 12 percent followed by Jennifer Aniston with 11 percent, Beyoncé Knowles with 8 percent and Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima with 3 percent.

The Bugatti Veyron topped the “perfect car” list with 36 percent followed by Aston Martin’s One-77 with 29 percent. Ferrari’s California trailed behind with 9 percent followed by the Pagani Zonda R with 8 percent, Alfa 8C Spider with 7 percent and Koenigsegg CCX 7 percent.

So who’s going to buy this car? Well, the LINEA Vincero was created in partnership with Mansory’s Middle East partner “Prestige Cars Abu Dhabi.”Exactly – people who have the ability to throw down additional money on their Veyron to have the right to say “my Bugatti is tricked out by Mansory.”

Of course, for most of us the over $1 million price tag of the Bugatti Veyron can seem a little steep. Well, now you can get behind one for just $25,000… a day.

Believe it or not a Berkshire-based leasing company called Holders Vehicle Contracts has the world’s fastest car (or one of the world’s fastest if you will) in its rental fleet and will let you cruise around in it for a whopping $25,000 a day. Oh and did we mention that you have to throw down a $160,000 deposit as well.

Nonetheless, Holders VC says it already has had a few willing to rent one of the world’s most expensive cars. As far as we know, this is probably the world’s most expensive rental car.

Ahmed Almuhairi of United Arab Emirates manage to capture the Top Gear crew, including The Stig, on location with four high-performance supercars.

While Almuhairi said that police created a 1.86 mile blockade, he managed to capture a 38 second video in which you will see a Bugatti Veyron, Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR 722, Lamborghini SV LP670-4 and the old McLaren F1.

Of course, this means a very exciting episode in the works which we’re anxiously looking forward to.

How do you make one of the world’s most exclusive vehicles even more exclusive? By painting it gold and making it look gold-plated. Bugatti has just dropped new images of what may look like a gold-plated Veyron; however, it’s just a two-tone gold colored exterior.

Of course, there is no better place to take pictures of a golden 1001-hp Bugatti Veyron than in Dubai – where one can afford to flaunt such an exclusive looking supercar.

Sure other Veyron owners may be able to go from 0 to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds – but you can now do it in a more elegant manner.

If the Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire just didn’t do it for you, Mansory has just unveiled its new LINEA Vincero at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. Mansory, which is known for offering nearly all parts made from carbon fiber, added a new front apron, side skirts, larger air outlets on the sides and the back along with a new diffuser. The tuner also added LED daytime running lights in front mount along with a “V” on the grille for the “Vincero” name.

Starting off with a base 1,001-hp Bugatti Veyron 16.4, power was slightly increased to 1,109 with a maximum torque of 966 lb-ft. The increased power comes from an increased cooling air supply and optimized exhaust system.

LINEA Vincerò – Mansory refines the Bugatti Veyron 16.4

“Vincerò! Vincerò! ¬– I will win”, that is the self-confident exclamation from Nessun Dorma, probably the most famous tenor aria from Giacomo Puccini´s opera Turandot. And Vincerò is also the name of the latest automobile accessory line by refining specialist Mansory. Mansory already finds many parallels for the new name: The plot of the aria stems from a Persian tale of 1001 days which also relates to the standard motorisation of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 with 1,001 hp. On the other hand, it should also refer to the origin of Kourosh Mansory, the founder and CEO of Mansory Corporation. And the opera has another reference to the offered product portfolio by ending after three acts. The LINEA Vincerò edition is also not infinite – the project is strictly limited.

It goes without saying that such a sonorous name is only suitable for an absolutely high-quality programme. Already the Bugatti Veyron serial edition sets standards in terms of price, maximum speed and engine power and leaves its competitors far behind when a contender for the super sports car is to be crowned. Whoever now thinks that everything possible has been achieved, can be proved wrong. Already visually, the changes clearly show. The front part gets a comprehensive face-lift including modified wings, a shorter hood and a striking front apron. The LED daytime running lights integrated in the front mount and the implemented stylised “V” as a special tribute to the name “Vincerò” draw even more attention to the car. The newly developed side skirts are the visual and aerodynamic connection between the axles. Larger air outlets at the sides and at the back render optimal engine cooling and in combination with the new diffuser, they underline the powerful car design. Mansory manufactures nearly all auto body parts from ultra-light and high-strength carbon. The applied hardening technique with strong pressure and high temperatures in the autoclave thereby enormously improve the material quality.

In order to perfect the entire visual appearance, Mansory devised new, striking fully-forged turbine-design wheels for the Linea Vincerò in serial dimensions.

Also, the power engine is refined by Mansory. Technical innovation is combined with technical expertise and thereby, an increased cooling air supply and optimised exhaust system produce an unbelievable 1109 hp and 1310 Nm.

The interior is exclusive and yet functional. Also here, Mansory understands how luxury and technology can be harmonically combined. When traditional craftsmanship, selected materials and stylish design merge, the result is an interior of automobile excellence.

This mainly shows by the LED lights of the new Ambiente-Illumination-System which are fitted in the seats, door linings and the dashboard. The entire passenger compartment glows in a soft light which does not only render a comfortable feeling, but also emphasises the high-quality carbon applications and the especially grained leather. The ergonomically designed airbag steering wheel is both sportive and particularly pliable and is equipped with rocker switches.

The Mansory Cooperation GmbH solely offers proprietary developed modification accessories under the name LINEA Vincerò. They do not market entire automobiles and also do not sell any such vehicles.

Bugatti today unveiled the Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show celebrating the company’s 100th anniversary. Rumors have proven to be false as the Veyron Bleu Centenaire does not get a 350-hp increase and “shares all performance characteristics of other Veyron models performance.”

Nonetheless, we do have another special-edition Veyron that gets a two-tone variation of the lightest shade of Bugatti Blue - sprintblue matte and sprintblue gloss. The roof stripes, exterior mirrors and other trims are made of polished aluminum. The appearance is further enhanced by the bright red brake-calipers. The inside of the Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire is fitter with special “snowbeige” leather with quilting on the seats.

Bugatti also said that LED lights, park distance control and a rear-view-camera have become a part of the standard equipment for all Veyrons from this year onwards.

In 1909, an Italian man by the name of Ettore Bugatti founded a company that one day would produce very expensive high-performance vehicles under the ”Bugatti” name. Well, it is now 2009 and the Molsheim automaker is celebrating its hundredth birthday.

According to new reports, Bugatti is working on a special-edition Veyron for its 100th birthday that will make its debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show next week. Known as the Centenaire, the special-edition Bugatti Veyron is expected to get custom styling and a neck-snapping 1,350-hp (an increase of 349-hp over the base Veyron).

Top speed is rumored to come in at 425 km/h (264 mph). Is the Centenaire Veyron real? We’ll find out early next week.

It’s not like that there were already enough limited or special edition Bugatti Veyrons running around in the world, tuner Mansory has decided to put their touch on one of the most expensive and fastest cars in the world.

While there is plenty of online debate whether the car is a Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir that’s been further modified by Mansory or a base Veyron that’s been redone to resemble the famous limited-edition Bugatti. Nonetheless, it is widely known that Mansory was involved with the project that is known as the Bugatti Veyron Vincero Limited. The body features a blackout trim and smoked chrome, new front fenders and door panels in chrome and a carbon fiber hood. The interior features a black and white upholstery, woven seatbacks and carbon fiber and suede trims.

It is unknown how many Vincero’s were made but what we do know is that there is one that sits at Prestige Cars in the United Arab Emirates.

Looking for a used Bugatti Veyron? Yeah – so are we. We’ll we’re both in luck because a 2006 Veyron has just popped up on Craigslist with only 874 miles on the odometer. The car was listed on the popular classified advertisement site two days ago in the Los Angeles, CA section.

The car is located in Benicia, which is just north of San Francisco but for a car that does 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph – that’s not too far. Plus, it’ll be a great driving the 1001-hp car on the Pacific Coast Highway.

The asking price? $1.3 million – which is probably the highest price-tag a car has ever carried on Craigslist. Nonetheless, if you’re interested, contact the dealer (contact info is available on the listing).

Built around the Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg, Germany, Autostadt attracts millions of people that can visit the museum featuring pavilions for each manufacturer in the Volkswagen Group. Autostadt reopened its premium pavilion on Oct 31st displaying an unusual exhibit.

The main attraction this year is the new “Premium Clubhouse” built by British architect Stephen Williams. The curvy display features an exhibit by artist Olaf Nicolai who is displaying his mirror-finish Bugatti Veyron. Basically, you can now check out one of the most exclusive vehicle in the world and yourself at the same time.

Olaf Nicolai says that the mirror-finish Bugatti Veyron “creates mental spaces in which he explores aesthetic perceptions.” The main theme of the exhibit is to “to create the impression of an infinite reflection of anyone who looks at the car.”

Besides working on a new 270mph Veyron GT and a four-door model, Bugatti is planning a carbon fiber version of the new convertible/targa Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport. According to CAR, Bugatti is planning a Sang Noir carbon fiber special edition version of the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport alongside the 15 units of the coupe Veyron Sang Noir.

Like the coupe Sang Noir, Bugatti will only produce 15 units of the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Sang Noir. Power will come from W16 1001 horsepower engine that allows for a top speed of 253mph with the top closed and 190mph with the roof off.

Expect it to be very expensive and very exclusive. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport will see a production run of 150 units, 50 of which have already been sold to existing Bugatti customers.

Bugatti is one of the most prestigious badges in the automotive industry. If one doesn’t have at least $3 million to throw around, then one shouldn’t even think of entering a Bugatti showroom. The first unit of the brands latest creation, the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, sold for $3.19 million – exceeding the roadster’s sticker price of $2.05 million.

Only 150 units of the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport will be produced, 50 of which has already been sold to existing Bugatti customers who apparently have another $3 million to throw around. So what’s next for the exclusive luxury brand that caters to a very elite demographic?

According to Automotive News, Bugatti is working on a Rolls-Royce competitor to replace the Veyron production that ends in 2012. CEO Franz-Josef Paefgen says that Bugatti may work together with sister brand Bentley to build the car. Is World’s fastest sedan on the way?

And it doesn’t end there. Rumors have started of Veyron GT model. A 1200-hp Veyron that will top speeds of 270 mph.

When we first saw the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show – we weren’t too impressed by the ebony and étoupe color choice (apparently Bugatti had another color choice, ebony and brick, that wasn’t shown at the show). Bugatti has now announced that it will be giving its customers a wider range of choices for the the Fbg par Hermès adding indigo blue and vermilion, indigo blue and lime green, black and garance red and Prussian blue and blue jean.

Power comes from the W16 engine with four turbochargers producing a total of 1001-hp and 922 lb-ft of torque. Rest to 62 mph comes in at 2.4 seconds. At 249 mph the cars emergency braking system will bring it to complete stop in less than 10 seconds.

The Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès will go on sale at the end of 2008 with pricing starting at 1.55 million Euros ($2.3 million USD) and that doesn’t include taxes.

A Harmonious Design, Inside and Out

The official name of the highly exclusive Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès refers to the historic Hermès headquarters on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, in the heart of Paris’s eight arrondissement: the “Fbg” appellation evokes the house’s “faubourg” address.

With the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès, the exacting standards of Émile Hermès and Ettore Bugatti come together for the first time, in an exceptional collaboration: the culmination of their extreme attention to aesthetic and technological quality and performance.

Gabriele Pezzini has reinterpreted Bugatti’s traditional two-toned carriage work, fostering a fluid, harmonious transition between the car’s exterior and interior design. The colour of the hood extends to the interior of the cockpit, and re-emerges behind, at the level of the rear wing.

As a tribute to the celebrated 1924 Bugatti Type 35, undoubtedly the most famous of all time, thanks to its many successes on the racetrack, the new Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès features eight-spoked wheels in polished aluminium, central butterfly wheel locks branded with the letter H, and air vents around the rims reproducing the characteristics appearance of Hermès saddle-stitching. A Refined Formal Vocabulary

The inner surfaces of the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès have been designed and sheathed in bull calfskin by the Hermès workshops in Paris. The care and attention to detail observe an extremely refined, minimalist formal vocabulary, reflecting the tradition of the very first Bugattis and the fundamental design principles of the house of Hermès. The door handles echo the fluid forms of handles on Hermès travel bags and luggage.

And the dashboard, traditionally finished in brushed aluminium, is here clad entirely in bull calfskin. Passengers aboard the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès will find a dashboard glove compartment designed to hold a selection of small travel accessories and a zipped Hermès wallet. Both seats are covered in two-toned bull calfskin, and the panel separating the cockpit from the central rear engine – traditionally made of carbon fibre- is covered in the same fine leather. The leather-lined trunk holds a specially-fitted “Toile H” and leather case, hand-made by the craftmen from the Hermès workshops.

This exceptional car is priced at 1.55 million Euros (not including taxes) and is available at the end of 2008.

When Bugatti unveiled the new Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport this weekend, it said the very first model will be auctioned off at Pebble Beach through Gooding & Company. A video of the whole auction has popped up on YouTube and we can now tell you that the first Veyron drop-top has sold for a total of $2.9 million.

Not bad for whoever has that kind of money since Bugatti announced the pricing of the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport at just over $2 million.

Bugatti will only be producing 150 units of the Veyron Grand Sport, 50 of which have already been registered to existing Bugatti customers – meaning there are only 99 models up for grabs which we expect to sell out very soon.

Bugatti has released new images of its new Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport showing its reveal at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this past weekend.

If this is your first time seeing the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport you need to visit eGMCarTech more often – we’re just kidding. To give you some updates, the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport is powered by the same W16 1001-hp engine with a top speed of 253mpg with the top closed and 190mph with the top off. With the folding roof in place top speed is limited to 81mph – we have no idea why.

Bugatti will only make 150 Veyron 16.4 Grand Sports – 50 of which have already been saved for existing Bugatti customers that have more money than they know what to do with.
