BMW celebrates 25 years of M5, creates one-off BMW M5 CSL

In order to celebrate 25 years of the M5 sedan, BMW created a special lightweight one-off version of the E60 M5 known as the “M5 CSL” the company never built. The car was revealed at BMW’s workshop at the Nurburgring and features a heavily modified version of the 5.0L V10.

Next-generation BMW will ditch V10 in favor of twin-turbo V8

Sources have confirmed to Inside Line that the next-generation BMW M5 will drop its 5.0L V10 engine for a twin-turbo V8.
