Chef Buddy Valastro, star of the TLC reality television series ‘Cake Boss,’ is well known for his custom made cakes. At the 2011 New York Auto Show earlier this year, Buddy created a massive 2,000 pound cake in the shape of Bumblebee from the Transformers series.

Valastro’s Bumblebee Camaro cake, which took four days to make, consists of vanilla pound cake with butter-cream frosting. Rick Krispies treats were used to bind the cake at critical flex points.

Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon Theatrical Trailer

Michael Bay has just released another trailer for the Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The third trailers shows a very angry Optimus Prime, the world coming to an end, a sad Bumblebee and a Sam’s new girl.

The third part in the Transformers series will hit theaters on July 1, 2011 and will definitely be available in IMAX 3D.

Synopsis on IMDB:

The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.

Transformers 3 Bumblebee Chevrolet Camaro Interpretation

Now here is a real Chevrolet Camaro fan. While “Transformers Dark of the Moon,” won’t hit theaters until later this summer, it hasn’t stopped this true fan of the movie and the Camaro to build his own interpretation of the third Bumblebee Camaro.

The owner’s take on Bumblebee Camaro 3 features a matte yellow vinyl exterior, a custom built hood, front bumper with front splitter, lights, side mirrors, and Camaro concept style rear exhaust tips.

Transformers Dark of the Moon Daytona 500 Trailer

Following a big commercial during Super Bowl XLV, a new commercial for Transformers Dark of the Moon made its debut during the Daytona 500. It’s probably the most revealing of all trailers we’ve seen thus far so enjoy it.

The third part in the Transformers series will hit theaters on July 1, 2011.

Transformers 3 filming in Chicago

Transformers 3 is scheduled to be released on July 1, 2011 and yes it will be available in Real D 3D And IMAX 3D. We’re really crossing our fingers for the third installment of the series to be better than the sequel, which had a great amount of action but a horrible plot.

The good news already for part 3? Megan Fox will not be a part of it. Fox’s character Mikaela has been dropped and Sam is now given new love interest, who will be played by English model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

But what about the cars? Well, Michael Bay and his crew were recently invaded the city of Chicago and fans happened to film some interesting scenes. In these numerous clips (posted after the jump), you’ll see the Corvette Stingray Convertible Concept, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Ferrari 458 Italia, some NASCARs and a new upgraded Bumblebee Camaro.

We’re eagerly awaiting Michael Bay’s third installment of the Transformers series (since the second one was so bad). Besides Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and the Corvette Stingray Convertible Concept, the Ferrari 458 Italia will be joining the Autobots team.

On the Decepticon side, latest spy shots form Chicago show that a trio of NASCAR will join the dark side to take on Sam Witwicky and Optimus Prime.

Last week during a charity event where the first U.S.-bound Ferrari 458 Italia was auctioned off to benefit relief efforts in Haiti, director and Ferrari collector Michael Bay was acknowledged for his long-standing friendship with the company.

We’re guessing that gave Bay an idea for the third-installment of his Transformers series.

Writing at his blog over at MichaelBay.com, Bay said:

I also was at a Ferrari charity event this week raising money for a hospital being built by Ferrari in Haiti. I announced that night the newest Autobot to join Transformers: the Ferrari 458 Italia.

That’s right, the Ferrari 458 Italia will join the Chevrolet Camaro Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and bunch of other General Motors Transformers on fighting the Decepticons. We’re excited – how about you?

General Motors today released new images of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept giving it the official name of “50th Anniversary Corvette Stingray Concept.”

In a short press release, GM said that the “Corvette Stingray Concept represents both the iconic legacy and an exciting future for Corvette.”

“The Corvette Stingray Concept was developed as an internal design challenge to combine classic Corvette cues with surprisingly high-tech features, modern materials, and a striking new appearance. The car is well-appointed with a clamshell hood, scissor-style doors, ergonomic seats, rear-view camera with night vision enhancement, and a high performance hybrid drive. Interactive touch controls allow the driver to customize the power and efficiency of his or her ride and share it with friends via the in-car camera system and advanced telemetrics.”

Earlier this year, Tom Stephen, GM”s vice chairman of global product development, said that GM may consider offering a hybrid powertrain for the Corvette. To boost fuel-economy GM plans to reduce the weight of the Corvette, offer low resistance tires and an engine with direct injection, variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation.

There is not much to say except that this is the coolest Halloween costume we’ve ever seen. We wonder if this guy will go to the steps as a Chevrolet Camaro and then transform into Bumblebee and scream “TRICK OR TREAT!”

German tuner Irmscher decided to team up with GM for a tribute to the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Bumblebee. However, instead of just throwing another Bumblebee package on a 2010 Camaro, Irmscher is offering a Bumblebee version of the new Chevrolet Cruze.

Based on a 1.8 LT automatic Cruze, Irmscher Bumblebee Cruze features a black exterior with orange stripes, side-view mirror casings and fog lamps in the same color, an orange-painted diffuser, 18-inch Irmscher Turbo Star wheels with 225 mm wide tires and a double-pipe rear silencer. Ride height of the Bumblebee Cruze was lowered by 30 millimeters.

The Irmscher Bumblebee Chevrolet Cruze will make its world debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show in September. Something tells us that Irmscher got the idea from somewhere else.

Today at Comic-con in San Diego, GM announced the release of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Special Edition allowing us Autobot fans a chance to become Sam Witwicky and have our very own Bumblebee parked in our garage.

“When the first TRANSFORMERS movie was setting box office records, we had countless customers asking to purchase the ‘BUMBLEBEE’ Camaro,” said Karen Rafferty, product marketing director, Chevrolet. “Now, they can buy one with the new Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition. Streets all over North America will be buzzing in no time.”

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition includes the following:

- AUTOBOT® shield on the driver and passenger side panels
- AUTOBOT® shield on each of the four wheel’s center cap
- AUTOBOT® shield embroidered on interior center console
- “TRANSFORMERS” logo on driver and passenger doors’ sill plates
- “TRANSFORMERS” logo embedded into the hood rally stripes
- High-gloss black center rally stripe package
- Manufacturer’s suggested retail price of package: $995

The Transformers Special Edition Package is available on both versions of the Camaro: 304-hp V6 and the V8 Camaro SS. Dealers are now taking orders for the car.

We’ve been quite busy wrapping up our week with the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS (it goes back tomorrow and we’re really depressed). Nonetheless, the show must go on and it’s now time for our daily (give or take a day here and there) Miscellaneous Thoughts post.

Megan Fox cleaned Michael Bay’s Ferrari for Transformers audition: Director Michael Bay and actress Megan Fox have been on a fairly rocky relationship recently. In a recent interview, Fox said that Bay’s Transformers sequel was “not a movie about acting.” Bay eventually hit back saying Fox was “ridiculous” and said she “had some growing up to do.” Making it just a little more spicy, U.K. broadcaster Jason Solomons reported that Fox was forced to wash Bay’s Ferrari when she auditioned for her breakthrough role in Transformers. ”He made her wash his Ferrari while he filmed her,” Solomons said. When questioned, Fox said that she “didn’t know what had happened to that footage.”  When Solomons asked Bay, he said :”Er, I don’t know where it is either.” I think we have the footage somewhere around our office. – SFGate

You better believe we’re going to head to the theaters on the eve of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen release date and catch good seating for a midnight show.

It’s a bond between man and machine that very few understand and it seems like these Chinese citizens take it to the next level.

Celebrating the release of the sequel, a bunch of Transformers, Bumblebee and Camaro fans in China got together to go on a parade. It seems like on one Camaro was on hand, while others took their yellow Chevrolet Cruze, Honda Accords and Nissans and tricked them out with black striping to show support for their favorite AutoBot.

Michael Bay’s Transformers series gets the best of most of us nerds and auto enthusiasts. The thought of our cars turning into robots to save mankind is not only out of this world, but something only ‘geeks’ can imagine. GM will be offering a limited-edition 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Bumblebee Package, which we expect will go for a hefty price tag.

And what do you do when you don’t have the money to pay for an exclusive limited-edition Bumblebee Camaro? You build one for yourself. Take this huge Chevrolet Camaro and Bumblebee fan in China.

Story goes that he couldn’t afford the U.S. equivalent of $200,000 for a brand new Camaro in China and decided to buy the Chevrolet Cruze instead. He then ‘transformed’ his car into a ‘Bumblebee Cruze’ instead of the ‘Bumblebee Camaro.’

Brilliant. AutoBots… roll out.

Linkin Park released their new single, ‘New Divide,’ for the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Soundtrack; GM announced it will be offering a limited edition Bumblebee 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Package; and now, director Michael Bay has just released three TV spots for the new sequel.

Jason Drees of Symdon Chevrolet-Pontiac in Wisconsin has just confirmed that GM will be offering a limited-edition 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Bumblebee package, which will be available to order starting June 1. Production of the limited-edition Bumblebee 2010 Camaro will run from June 24 to December.

The package will be available on LT and SS models and will feature the Rally Yellow with black Bumblebee stripes and Transformers badging on wheel centers, sill plates and embroidered console lid.

After posting many stories of the auto industry taking the biggest hit in its history in years, we wrap today up with something that will get you pretty excited for June 24, 2009. For all you Autobot, Bumblebee, Megan Fox and Chevrolet Camaro fans, that date stands for the release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
