The 2010 Jaguar XFR is officially more powerful and cheaper than its rivals. Jaguar today announced the pricing on the 2010 XFR with a starting MSRP of $80,000. As you already know, power comes from a 5.4L AJ-V8 GEN III V8 making 510-hp and 461 lb-ft of torque.

That makes the XFR more powerful than the BMW M5 and the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG which start at $85,500 and $87,700 respectively.

Jaguar also announced pricing for the 2010 XKR which retails for $96,000 for the coupe and $102,000 for the Convertible.

MAHWAH, NJ., February 19, 2009 ““ Jaguar today announced pricing for its 2010 Model Year line up. In January 2009, Jaguar revealed the new 2010 Model Year XF and XK which includes the new XFR, and next generation XKR. Both vehicles are true to the heritage of Jaguar”s legendary performance, delivering a superb balance of dynamic ability and refinement.

The 2010 XF will be priced starting at $52,000 MSRP. The XF Premium, with the new 5.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, will have a base MSRP of $57,000. The new XFR with the 510hp supercharged engine will retail for $80,000 MSRP. Also, taking the details that define luxury to higher standards, the 2010 XF Premium offers a Portfolio Pack for an additional $4,000. The Portfolio Pack offers the most luxurious XF specification, and features the naturally aspirated version of the new 5.0-liter V8.

As for the 2010 XK line up, it will start with a base MSRP of $83,000 (Coupe) and $89,000 (Convertible). The XKR with its 510 horsepower engine will retail for $96,000 (Coupe) MSRP and $102,000 (Convertible) MSRP.

But it is the new powertrain options that are at the heart of the changes for 2010 Model Year. The new AJ-V8 GEN III direct-injection 5.0-liter engines are the most advanced engines Jaguar has ever produced, each offering significant increases in performance and impressive fuel economy. Both deliver more torque and power than the previous generation of engines.

The 2010 Model Year XF and XK models combine effortless high-performance and state-of-the-art powertrains with a new level of advanced technologies, intuitive control and Jaguar”s superbly crafted, new-fashioned luxury interiors. In addition, both models include a number of standard luxury features including navigation, heated front seats and satellite radio.

Jaguar has released two promos for its new high-performance 2010 Jaguar XFR and XKR sedan and coupe. Both models made their debut at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show earlier this week.

The 510-hp Jaguar XFR will take on rivals such as the BMW M5 and the Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG while the XKR will take on the likes of the BMW M6. Both are powered by a 5.4L AJ-V8. That allows the XFR to go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and the XKR in 4.6 seconds.

The first promo shows the XFR and the XKR in action and the second video shows the XFR prototypes 225.675 mph top speed run at Bonneville.

Both models will arrive in the later part of summer 2009.

The 2010 XFR and the 2010 XKR are heating up Jaguar’s 2009 Detroit Auto Show display with 510-hp. While the Jaguar XFR takes on the high-performance sedans, the British automaker is offering the high-performance coupe enthusiasts with the Jaguar XKR.

Both are powered by a 5.4 AJ-V8 that makes a total of 510-hp with a maximum torque of 461 lb-ft and is mated to a 6-speed transmission.

The 2010 Jaguar XFR and the 2010 Jaguar XKR will be available at dealerships later this year.

It’s the night before the 2009 Detroit Auto Show press days and the world debuts are starting to roll in. The 2010 Jaguar XK has been unveiled and the new generation of the XK Coupe and Convertible get revised exterior styling and performance upgrades.

Styling revisions on the 2010 Jaguar XK Portfolio and the 2010 XKR include a new front bumper, new side mirrors with integrated LED side repeater, rear bumper spoiler, rear LED lights and color-coded side power vents for both coupe and convertible versions. The 19-inch 10-V-Spoke Caravela wheels are now standard on the XK Portfolio while the 19-inch 10-spoke Tamana wheels are now standard on the XKR. 20-inch wheels are available as options on both models. The range is now available in 15 exterior colors – two of which, Salsa and Kyanite Blue, are reserved exclusively for XKR.

Standard interior features include a satellite navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity, USB/AUX and iPod support, dual-climate control and live-traffic updates. All features can be controlled through the 7-inch touchscreen in the center console – which is also standard on all models.

2010 Jaguar XKR:

Both, the 2010 XK Portfolio and the Supercharged XKR are powered by the all-new 5.0L AJ-V8 Gen III engine. The engine delivers a significant power increase while keeping fuel-efficiency at the level of the current XK models. The engine allows for 385-hp with a maximum torque of 380 lb-ft on the XK Portfolio allowing it to go from 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds. The XKR gets a supercharged version of the AJ-V8 that produces a total of 510-hp and a peak torque of 461 lb-ft. The 0 to 60 mph sprint on the XKR comes in just 4.6 seconds. Both models have an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph.

The XK Portfolio and the XKR transfer all that power to the wheels via Jaguar’s 6-speed ZF 6HP28 transmission with wheel-mounted paddles or full automatic mode via the JaguarDrive SelectorTM. Jaguar estimates the fuel-economy on the 2010 XK Portfolio at 25.2 mpg and 23 mpg on the 2010 XKR.

Both models will arrive in the later part of summer 2009.
