As people take up my time to ask me about “that box” (2009 Nissan Cube) I’ve driving around, I’ve taken some time out to compile some of the random things we’ve come across on the internet today.

Hennessey HPE550 Camaro on eBay: With Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in theaters and the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS headed to our garage next week, we are at an all-time Camaro-high (we kind of always are here at egmCarTech). A completed Hennessey HPE550 Camaro has ended up on eBay with a starting bid of $59,950. Currently there are no bids. Not a fan of eBay? Not a problem. Hennessey sells its 562-hp HPE550 package for $18,950 plus shipping, or $24,950 installed. You’ll just have to provide your own 2010 Camaro.

Best Car puts together a rendering of a production Honda CR-Z Hybrid: Japan’s Best Car magazine has taken a shot at a computer rendering that gives us our first look at the production version of the Honda CR-Z Hybrid. Best Car, which calls the production model the CR-ZX, says that the next hybrid from Honda will be powered by a modified version of the Insight’s hybrid system combining a 1.5L gasoline engine. – Best Car (via CarScooop)

2009 Nissan Cube Test Drive update: If you don’t know by now you need to visit us more often. I’m driving the 2009 Nissan Cube this week as our press car and so far I’ve managed to get a 5-year old girl to hate it, learned how to park it and averaged 26.1 mpg. Today, while getting some grub from the drive-thru at Wendy’s, I found the best feature on the 2009 Nissan Cube – the cup holder hiding on the left side of the steering wheel. It’s easy to reach and sits right next to a vent to keep your drink cool or hot depending on your preference. – Follow us on Twitter to ask me questions about the Cube.

When Hennessey Performance Engineering first received their 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS, they did what every muscle car owner should would do – a burnout followed by a quarter-mile run.

Now, before Hennessey threw in their 562-hp HPE550 upgrade, the stock 2010 Camaro SS ran the quarter-mile test in 13.6 seconds at 107.9 mph. After throwing in their HPE550 upgrade, which will cost those interested $18,950 plus shipping ($24,950 installed), Hennessey has reported a quarter-mile run in an outstanding 11.67 seconds at 121 mph.

Hennessey Performance Engineering just received their 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS last month. After taking it to the drag strips and doing a burnout, Hennessey decided to throw in its new HPE550 Supercharged package into their latest creation and took it on a dyno run. Check out the video of it after the jump.

Hennessey will be selling its HPE550 package for $18,950 plus shipping if you’re the do-it-your-self type. If you’re not a really good handyman, Hennessey will install the package for you for $24,950 (of course you”d have to provide your $31,000 Camaro SS).

2010 HPE700 Camaro:

We’re really looking forward to Hennessey’s tuning program for the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. Hennessey has prepared two different packages including a 562-hp HPE550 and a 705-hp HPE700. Both should give Camaro lovers something to look forward to since GM has currently has no plans to build a 556-hp 2010 Camaro Z/28.

Either way, Hennessey received their first 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS yesterday and the first thing they did was do a burnout for us on video. After that they hit the drag strip. You can check out all the action in the video posted after the jump.

Hennessey is offering the HPE550 package for $18,950 plug shipping if you’re the do-it-yourself type. Hennessey will install it for you for a total price of $24,950. The HPE700 package will set you back a whopping $39,5000.

Hennessey gets their 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS:

So we all know by now that the 556-hp Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is on the back burner of GM’s product plans as they look for ways to reduce manufacturing costs. But there are people out there that are still looking for more than the 426-hp offered by the Camaro SS.

Tuner Hennessey has come to the rescue. Hennessey is offering its HPE550 upgrade for the Camaro SS that allows the GM LS3 V8 to produce a whopping 562-hp with a maximum torque of 557 lb-ft. 0 to 60 mph comes in just 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 119 mph.

If you’re the do-it-yourself type, Hennessey will send you a HPE550 package for $18,950 plus shipping. If you’d rather have Hennessey work on your Camaro SS labor costs will bring the pricing up to $24,950 (of course you’d have to provide your $31,000 Camaro SS).

If 562-hp isn’t enough, Hennessey is also offering the HPE700 Camaro package which uses the LS9 Supercharged V8 that is found in the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. The engine is tuned to produce 705-hp with a maximum torque of 717 lb-ft. The LS9 upgrade will set you back $39,500.

Oh, and if that’s not enough, Hennessey is also offering 850-hp and a 1,000-hp twin-turbo upgrade for $54,500 and $59,500, respectively.
