Common failures:The check engine light is illuminated; DEF warning messageisdisplayed codeP209F “Reductant Tank Heater Control Circuit Performance” are stored.
Reasons for those failures:Temperature sensor codes are triggered by a failing thermistor that is a part of the sensor/heater assembly. Poor thermistor quality is to blame for the majority of these failures.
All heater related codes are set by a faulty heating element. The two bimetal resistors are way too small to keep up with the volume of DEF fluid in the tank and they have to work continuously to keep up with the demand. As a result, they fail prematurely – usually after 3 years.
Solution:Is toreplace the heating element with a long-lasting ceramic resistor.
More about the heating element: Our urea heater incorporates a good old fashion ceramic-substrate heating resistor that was made in the 50s. The resistor is encapsulated in our custom made aluminum heatsink. Precise CNC machining ensures maximum resistor contact for proper heat dissipation and high efficiency. Ceramic heaters can withstand contact with ammonia just fine, but we took an extra step in our design and permanently sealed the resistor preventing in to have any direct contact with the fluid.

If your part is damaged or defective upon arrival, please contact us to report your problem so we can rectify the issue. We will do our best to work with FEDEX and ensure that your damage claim is reviewed and processed.
LOST PACKAGES
If your order was lost during delivery, please contact our customer service staff toll-free at 1-888-712-2525 to make a claim. In some cases, we can refund you the full payment (lest the cost of shipping). Refunds are issued on a case to case basis.
WARRANTY POLICY
XeMODeX Inc. takes great care in the quality and durability of all our products, resulting in longer-lasting dependable parts. Most XeMODeX products sold in the United States and Canada are covered under a Lifetime Limited Warranty (Canada after October 1, 2011); this exludes any products that are specifically covered under 1 year warranty.
In the case that our product becomes defective, XeMODeX Inc., at its own discretion, will repair or replace the defective part. In the case that the part is not repairable and no direct replacement is available, XeMODeX Inc. will refund the original purchase price, less the costs of shipping. Lifetime Limited Warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser and is valid for as long he/she owns the car. Subsequent owners are covered for a period of one year from the original purchase date.
XeMODeX Inc. products sold outside the Canada and United States are covered by a 1Year Limited Warranty. Brokerage and customs fees that might be charged by your countries authorities and any shipping expenses are the purchasers’ sole responsibility.WARRANTY VOIDED IF:
- Other components directly affect the performance of a XeMODeX Inc. replacement part.For example, overcharging alternator.
- Direct evidence that the unit was tampered with (broken warranty sealant is cut or tampered with).
- Vehicle has been involved in an accident
- Natural disasters: Fire, flood and lightning
- Part was removed and installed in another vehicle
-Vehicle was used in competitive racing
- Original core was not returned back to XeMODeX Inc. within 30 Days from the date of purchase
RETURN POLICY
It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to have the vehicle properly diagnosed prior to purchasing any one of our products or ordering any of our repair services. If you install our part in the car and still have the same symptoms, the chances are that a fuse was blown by the old defective part. Please consult our online trouble-shooter and FAQ questions. XeMODeX Inc. reserves the right to repair or replace the part. In cases where the part is unrepairable and no direct replacement is available, XeMODeX Inc. will refund the original purchase price, less the costs of shipping. No other refunds will be given.
