When there is no torque wrench, it can be installed according to the following schematic diagram
NGK spark plugs with sealing washers and thread diameters of 18mm and 14mm
Newly installed products rotate approximately 1/2-2/3 (180 ° -240 °)
Install old products and rotate about 1/12 (30 °)
M18 and M14 have no special angles, they are both normal rotation angles. Please use the normal angles shown in the applicable table for installation.
NGK spark plug with sealing gasket and thread diameter of 12mm
All new products that have not been installed (except for M12 special angle models) rotate approximately 1/2 (180 °)
Installed old products (except for M12 special angle models) and rotated about 1/12 (30 °)
The installation method for M12 special angle models is that new products that have not been installed rotate about 1/4 (90 °), while old products that have been installed rotate about 1/8 (45 °)
NGK spark plug with sealing gasket and thread diameter of 10mm
All new products that have not been installed (except for M10 special angle models) rotate approximately 1/2 (180 °)
NGK spark plug with sealing gasket and thread diameter of 8mm
Newly installed products rotate by approximately 1/3 (120 °)
Note: It is very important to choose spark plugs with a heat value that is suitable for the engine and usage conditions.
When the calorific value is not suitable, the following phenomena usually occur.
Heating value and heat dissipation method of spark plugs
·Heating value too high
The temperature of the spark plug becomes too low, causing carbon buildup in the ignition part to cause electric leakage and prevent the spark from being ignited.
Low calorific value
The temperature of the spark plug rises too high, leading to abnormal combustion (early ignition), melting of the electrodes of the spark plug, and ultimately causing piston burnout, melting, and so on.
