You must provide receipt for filter drier/ accumulator/receiver drier and expansion valve/ orifice tube.
In addition, you must provide a work order or receipt that proofs condenser has been flushed or changed.
Sellers Comment:
Number one reason for a/c compressor warranty is failure to diagnose the a/c problem correctly.
The automotive a/c has these following parts:
1. a/c compressor
2. filter drier/accumulator
3. expansion valve/ orifice tube.
4. evaporator
5. condenser
6. condenser fan
7. blower fan
8. cabin air filter
9. Discharge hose
10. Suction hose.
In any auto a/c repair when the compressor is being replaced, you must at least change these numbers: 1, 2, 3, 8.
Your technician might have more overall knowledge about the whole car parts, but we deal with auto a/c exclusively for past 22 years.
It's very hard for a technician to know in depth about every part of a vehicle.
Yes, it sounds scary because it is. Black Death is when an a/c compressor fails due to contaminated/dirty system.
Only thing you have inside of you're a/c system are PAG oil and Freon.
If you have metal shavings or dark oil coming out of your a/c then you have a "Black Death".
If you have "Black Death", then you should change numbers: 1,2,3,5.
You must change condenser and not "flush the condenser". To prevent this, check your original a/c for contamination.
The compressor may have oil. For best result, drain out all oil from the compressor. Then put new PAG oil with enhancer for longevity of your A/C.
Do not use dye until you suspect a leak in the system. Dye can be harmful for your A/C system. Good A/C system only have clear oil in the system.
