EngineSensors and How to Control Them

Unlessyou have an older vehicle, that has a carburetor, your vehicleprobably has a computer. If so, you will need to modify it forhydrogen conversion kits. Most vehicles 1996 and newer do have acomputer. But now it can be used on cars with fuel injection. This isdone using the system EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection). EFI systemsuse various sensors to detect the condition of the engine and cardriving conditions. Furthermore, ECU (Engine Control Unit) enginewill calculate the optimum fuel spray volume, which then orders theinjector to spray fuel.

Isquality constructed of 316L stainless steel and built to last manyyears. It doesn't corrode under the heavy exposure to current, or thealkaline base of the electrolyte. Stainless steel plates are the mostefficient of the designs, using less energy per square inch, leavingmost electrical energy to convert water into hydrogen and oxygenatoms. Iknow most of you are interested in the immediate results that the HHOGenerator devices will produce but once you get a feeling of thepossibilities you will want to achieve the most you can from it. Todo this you'll have to follow the guide below.

    Fix it first – You can’t expect great results if your vehicle starts out in poor condition. Accurate road tests – Pick a routine route that conditions can be duplicated.

    Log your results – Paper log your miles per gallon to compare against later results.

    Install the HHO system that you purchased and contact me for help.

    Research other gas saving techniques and apply to your vehicle.

FIXTHE VEHICLE

Thefirst thing you have to do before you even start talking aboutimproving gas economy is make sure your vehicle is operatingproperly. There's a maintenance philosophy that says: “If it ain'tbroke, don't fix it!”, while another philosophy says thatpreventive maintenance is what you do to keep it from being broke.

I'mnot going to argue that question here, which of these philosophies isright and which is wrong. Different people operate differently, eachconfronting a variety of budget problems and other considerations. SoI'm not telling you what to do regarding your maintenance decisions.If you say “It ain't broke, I don't fix” fine with me! But look,if I is broken – fix it. Before, after, whatever. Just fix it! Nowan HHO System can still work in a broken car. It will cool down anoverheating engine for instance and it will reduce emissions.Yetit would be unfair and technically incorrect to demand miracles. Andthe main “miracle” you want your system to perform is GASSAVINGS. We know because we are just like you. Yet it has beendemonstrated that it really takes a miracle for gas savings to occur,in a car that is out of tune, has bad valves or rings, worn bearingsor is generally dilapidated. So if you want to enjoy the fullbenefits and the awesome power of HHO, start with a clean baseline.Have your car fixed, checked and tuned to factory specifications by atrustworthy mechanic. It is recommended to have a good tune-up doneat least once a year.

SYSTEMMAINTENANCE

SevereWarning - Before attempting anymaintenance on this system, turn the engine off and let it coolfirst. Then make sure that the device(s) are disconnected from the12Volt electricalsupply, by turning the ignition key fully offand pullingoutthe in-line fuse. Do this even when toppingoff or filling up withdistilled water– otherwise theelectrodes might short circuit to the car’s body or another system,possibly causing damage orfire hazard.

DangerWarning - Please do not try to ignitethe gas coming out of the supply lines. A very dangerous thing to dojust to see if it is working. Yes it will ignite, faster than you canget away and if the gas flashes back to the jar it will explode withincredible force. Remember that Hydrogen gas is 3 times morecombustible than gasoline.

PERIODICMAINTENANCE

Checkthe jar once a week or so, to get a feel for how quickly thedistilled water is being used up. Depending on the amount andtype of driving and the engine, the distilled water may last for twomonths or more. A one electrolytic system usually will lastfrom 800 to 1000 miles before needing refilling. I recommendyou keep the water level to about one inch below the lid (completelyfull is about a half inch below the rim or glass exposed) to halffull. Keep in mind the part of the plates submerged in thewater is what is making the hydrogen, therefore, more is better.A full or near full electrolyzer will be producing the most HHO andgiving you the most benefit.

Thereis no set time when you need to fill the electrolyzer. It is up toyou to do the maintenance as often as you like. We alsorecommend after using yourfirsttwotanks of fuel,clean and recharge the electrolyzer. When metals aremanufactured they go through a process that can leave some residue.After the electrolyzer has run for a while it will clean itself.This is why we suggest recharging the electrolyzer at this time.When recharging the electrolyzer we start with 1 level teaspoon ofpurebaking sodaand add the distilled

water.

NOTE:I'm sure you will read or hear that you can more add more baking soda(electrolyte) and increase the voltage and you will increase HydrogenProduction. ''You Can'', but nothing good will become of it! You willdamage the Generator! Ask me how I know! The generator willoverheat and produce steam and this in turn causes Thermal Runaway. The plates will warp and the stainless steel will start to rust. Yesstainless will rust in a strong salt solution.

Sobe careful you don't overheat the electrolyzer with to much bakingsoda or voltage. Distilled water must be used in this Generator. Anyother type of water will not give you the results you want. Why? Youdon't want the minerals in the water to conduct electricity. You wantthe electrodes and the plates to do that. The minerals will stick tothe plates making them less effective. Visually inspect the systemfor leaks, cracks, loose wires or anything unusual when you rechargethe system. Our system should provide many many years ofreliable service.


AdditionalInformation on HHO Systems

BrownsGas was invented by Yull Brown he was the first man to realize thatthis HHO gas could actually be used to enhance the combustion processin cars. In fact, he was the first to install a HHO unit in his car.Some of his patents cover very large electrolyzers that arecontinually being perfected and still used today.

Theonly byproduct of Browns Gas is water vapor that will drip out of thetail pipe in small amounts. During combustion, the hydrogen andoxygen atoms release energy, then recombine into water moleculesinstantly, which then turns into super-heated steam, which helpsremove carbon buildup inside the engine.

ThisHHO gas will blend and work with any fuel; gasoline, diesel, LPG,CNG, even bio-fuel. It enhances all of them to burn more quickly andefficiently, because it acts like a fuel additive or combustioncatalyst. We are not trying to replace the fuel because you cannotrun an engine on HHO alone,for any length of time.

Thereare four types of Hydrogen Generators and three different styles orassembly methods. Let's look at the types first:

FlatPlates

Tubes/Conical

Wires

Generally,these consist of two or more wires (stainless steel) which arewrapped in a spiral around a support, (acrylic), and separated by asmall gap. One wire is hooked to positive side of battery, one to thenegative. These were very popular at first, as they were inexpensiveand quick to build.

Screens/Mesh

Thescreen electrolyzers are generally just available stainless steelwindow screen, mesh, or perforated sheet metal, cut to fit into acontainer and stacked in various configurations so that some arepositive and some are negative. Each metal sheet must be insulatedwith non-conductive spacers from the other or they will short out.This type of electrolyzer is popular among beginners, because itmakes a lot of bubbles when you hook it up to a power source, but ifyou actually measure the density of gas produced, it's not reallythat good. Makes for a good show, though! They suffer from huge "edgecurrent" losses.

Plates

Byfar, the most popular and widely used design today; stainless steelplates are what most experimenters in this new technology are usingtoday. They consist of high quality plates of 316 stainless steel,which doesn't corrode under the heavy exposure to current, or thealkaline base of the electrolyte. They are the most efficient of thedesigns, using less energy per square inch, leaving most electricalenergy to convert water into hydrogen and oxygen atoms. The bestdesigns at this time use some configuration of these plates.

Tubes

Tubeswere all the rage for a while, but not as popular now, and some stilluse them in their systems. The tubes used in this design are againhigh quality stainless steel and generally are stackedconcentrically, one inside the other- being insulated so they don'ttouch. Some use a ring of tubes, with multiple tubes having just onesmaller tube inside, others use a series of concentric tubes,starting from a large diameter to progressively smaller ones.

Moreresearch is needed to overcome certain obstacles with this design. Ifyou try and hook up a tube within tube design using the inner tubefor negative and outer tube for positive, be aware that almost 10volts will be wasted in the process, and that voltage converts toheat, which will tend to overheat your unit quickly. You still getedge current leakage from the ends of the tubes, but not as much aswith a screen or perforated sheet.

Moreon Plates

Trueelectrolysis is no mystery and it has been around for a very longtime. It is simply afunction of the amount of voltage andcurrentpushed through the water, along with the overall area ofmetal exposed to the electrolyte.

Thatis why spiral coils of wire mentioned earlier in my ad, are soinefficient. You have so very little metal actually exposed (maybe afew square inches) compared to a plate design. This is why platescurrently rule in the realm of efficiency. The larger exposed surfaceedges give them the ability to translate as much energy into HHO gaswithout losing as much energy in the form of wasted heat. That iswhere the style or assembly method of the electrolyzer comes intoplay.

Thiswaste heat is also a downfall in the tube and spiral designs. Theycan get hot very fast, literally boiling the water, giving you athermal runaway condition where it gets hotter and hotter until thelid or container melts. Overheated water can also cause theelectrolyte to chemically change, making it far less productive andgiving it a tendency to foam badly, which causes its own problems.

PlateHHO GENERATORS

Thereare three basic styles of generators.

Theoriginal Wet Cell, the more common Dry Cell, the Hybrid Cell.

TheWet Cell is comprised of a plate stack of steel plates held togetherin some fashion, and immersed in an electrolyte liquid bath which iscontained in a leak-proof container. The water flows freely aroundand through the spaces in between the plates.

TheDry Cell is comprised of a plate stack of steel plates, separated bygaskets that go around the perimeter of each plate, with holesdrilled in each plate for the electrolyte to flow from one chamber tothe next. The stack is not immersed in a liquid bath like the wetcell; rather the water is fed to inside of stack from an externalreservoir.

TheHybrid Cell was introduced in 2009, takes the strengths of both thewet cell and the dry cell designs, eliminates the weaknesses anddangers- a great combination of designs.

Onceinsidethe engine, it quickly mixes with the normal fuel vapors. Withinmicro seconds, as the regular fuel begins to ignite, the hydrogencomes alive and ignites (10 times faster than gasoline, 12 timesfaster than diesel) andcauses the existing fuel to burn moreefficiently and cleaner(remember- you're also injecting 34%extra Oxygen at the same time), burning up the majority of thenormally unburnt hydrocarbons which normally get passed through yourcatalytic converter before being exhausted out. This is why emissionsare dramatically reduced using this unique hybrid fuel additive.

Howcan such a small amount of hydrogen affect the fuel mileage? Well,gasoline burns at 4000 feet per second, butHydrogenholdsthe world record as the fastest burning gas. It burns at 40,000 feetper second, ten times faster than gas!

Everyday, manufacturers and researchers develop new and exotic ways tocram more air into the engine, using turbo chargers, superchargers,better air cleaners, etc. But air is comprised of only 18-21% oxygen,while HHO gas is 34% pure oxygen. So you are adding anenvironmentally clean gas (hydrogen), and a whopping 34% oxygen aswell into the combustion chamber of your engine.

Nowyou have an ultra fast burning hydrogen, a compact Oxygen source,added to your existing fuel/air being drawn in naturally. The secondthe gas or fuel is ignited, the normally slow burning gas is"catalyzed" by the ultra fast burning hydrogen and assistedwith the extra oxygen. So in the same normal rotation of the engine,the gases are consumed faster and the energy extracted out instead ofbeing wasted and sent out the exhaust. In essence, you are nowutilizing the stuff that the catalytic converter normally filtersout.

Yourcarsensors can be slightly adjustedto recognizethis hybridfuel, using a little Mini-computer called an EFIE (Electronic FuelInjection Enhancer). Hooked up and adjusted correctly, the car'scomputer then recognizes it doesn't need to add so much fuel, and soleans out the normal mix, which ultimately ends up saving you gas!AND you get the benefit of feeling good that whileyou're savingmoney with increased mileage- you also cleaning up the environmentfor your kids and grand-kids by reducing the harmful exhaustemissions of your car. Some have seen over 75% reduction of gases andmore! You will notice animmediate "sharpness" toyour accelerator- better response from a stop light.

We'venoticed a better acceleration on the highway when we are passing aslower vehicle, enabling us to pass it more quickly and safely. Wealso have noticed a much smoother, quieter idle. We've noticedaslight reduction in engine temperature(though noteveryone sees this). I believe it is because the gas burns morequickly, the heat has less time to be absorbed by the engine. We haveseen about 3-5 degrees in our test vehicles. Not everyone doesthough.

Byintroducing aclean and fast burning hydrogen plus oxygen (inthe form of this HHO Gas), you cause your gasoline or diesel fuel toburn faster and more efficient, which reduces the amount of gas youneed, giving you more miles on the same amount of gas. Plus, you getall that benefit while helping the environment. Makes you wonder whyDetroit hasn't been putting these into cars for years...

Ifyou live in a climate where the winters tend to get well belowfreezing. You can add more electrolyzer and I use a small amount of90% Isopropyl Alcohol to keep the HHO unit from freezing. You canwatch it thaw out as you idle your car asit gives off heat as it's working.
