This is a complete drivetrain assembly from a 1972 Citroen SM I am parting out.This came from a long time sitting low mile SM.It shows 57,659 original miles. It is the 2.7 engine with 5 speed tranny. Complete with inboard brake set up, triple Webers, manifolds, starter, distributor, lines, electric, motor mounts,etc. Before I part this out into a million pieces, which would be a shame , I will see how it goes selling complete. We did a compression check after making sure the oil was clean, the engine turns and so on. Front right to rear-100,120,100 . Front left to rear 110,120,133.. Which is not bad at all for a long time sitting engine. I would think after running some, the seals, rings etc will start doing their jobs again and this engine will be good to go. But I have been wrong before.But if I was a betting man, my money would be on this being a good engine. This engine is clean, top to bottom. No corrosion at the water pump area where that is common. No breaks, no issues, no previous repair work to anything on the outside. This is still so clean and nice you can see the yellow paint marks put on at the factory when built. K and N air filters, carb linkage loose,oil cooler lines. Engine is serial number C114/1 and tranny is106 005506. Drop this in your tired Merak or SM. Or build something really neat around this. Get this for now or down the road. Overseas shipping no problem on a pallet dropped at Rinkens Shipping in Long Beach ,California .I load containers quite often going to England and can put it in one of those for cheap shipping and Customs .And I travel around the West Coast with my truck and trailer and can help get it to you or close. Anywhere else in this country no problem setting up truck freight , Fed Ex ,etc.
