Reproduction aftermarket CURTAIN RODS / HARDWARE / SEWING INSTRUCTIONS for VW Type 2 Bus from 1968 through 1979. The kit is designed for any standard Type 2 Bus, but can be adapted to a camper bus (mounting hardware may need to be changed over to that included, and curtain dimensions will need to be changed to fit around cabinets). Mounting uses durable extruded aluminum rods at the top of each window (except sliding door, which mounts on an elastic cord), elastic cords across the bottom of each window to tuck the curtains behind, and plated screws and snaps. The kit is designed to make two "take down" windshield curtains which cover the driver and passenger door windows and the windshield. Installation requires drilling holes in vehicle. These kits were manufactured for many years, up until 6 or 8 years ago. Kit contains NO FABRIC: you supply the fabric and sew the curtains by following the instructions. (The one picture showing fabric curtains is an EXAMPLE ONLY.) Generic photos of one of these kits, but all kits include all the components shown. Nothing else like this kit is now being made. SHIPPING DETAIL: We ship to United States addresses only, no FPO or APO. Shipping must be to the "confirmed" address of successful buyer only. Shipping is by UPS Ground (United Parcel Service). Shipping price is estimated with the e-bay shipping calculator, and includes a small packing/handling charge and insurance. Note that we have to estimate shipping weights and package sizes BEFORE we pack the item. Thus both buyer and seller are AGREEING to a definate shipping cost which may be different than the incurred actual cost at the time the box is shipped. Transit time is out of our control, and yes it sometimes takes longer than it seems like it should. This shipping does seem to be the most economical, especially for our larger or heavier items.
