COOLAIRE Original AC Condensor fits 60's Jaguar Saloons Rolls Royce Very RARE:
$100.00

In the early 1960's, while the English were still learning how to cool their beer, Americans wanted air conditioning in their fine cars. Coolaire in Miami, Polar King in Texas, and a California company invented a boot or trunk mounted evaporator, a smaller version of the one vvv used in 1954. These worked so well, they could cool a Daimler limousine, and were also fitted to Rolls Royce Silver Cloud. In Florida, dealers sold the kits, and often drove the car to Miami to have it installed, or may have installed it in their own shop; Coolaire was basicly dealer installed Factory Air system, though JCNA judges disagree, the 1965-67 Etype had Coolaire units, dealer installed, that was a factory option in the US. This is the RARE condensor from a Jaguar saloon or Etype. It will fit in front of the radiator. I have also installed this type in the Rf fender of a Jaguar saloon with a fan attached, or behind the tire, in the fender well of an XK120-XK150. Please inquire for more advice. This uses copper tubes, which can be repaired, unlike the aluminum tubes used today. This will also fit 1950's and 60's radiators. Modern cars have horizontal radiators, so those condensors cannot be used in early cars.. .If you have questions, please contact me..I have other Coolaire AC parts and manuals.
