We are professional restorers of Corvette and Camaro aluminum intake manifolds. Only the7 first pics are of this manifold, the others are not. They are just to show what a person will come up against when trying to restore one of these. You want a nice manifoldready to bolt on without any scratches, dings,or welds on it you found it. This comes with stainless steel studs for the thermostat housing, always a problem there with rusty studs. Has a new carb stud kit, new GM hose fittings. Fittings not installed so you can see the threads are excellent cond. We will install them for you just ask. There are 2 pics of a manifold we got in for repair to show our repair work. The person wanted his original 63 Vette manifold repaired and restored. You seebefore andafter we were done with it. That is not this manifold for sale here. Theone listed here is a beautifully restoredintake for your64 65 CorvetteL79 Chevelle or Nova. All threads are perfect and original very rare to see that. Look at the pipe threads in the water jacket.Perfect. Coolant areas are real nice with no corrosion. One of the nicest looking 461s we have done. Water areas are real nice with absolutely not corrosion. Mounting bolt holes to the headsare not sunken in from over use. There isNO PAINTon the manifold nor should there shouldbe. No cracks or welds. No grinding anywhere.I word of advice, never try to unscrewold fittings or plugs as the alum threads will come out with it 90% of the time or gall up and crack the manifold. See pics. The guy thought for sure he could get that old plug out, see what he did to it? Ya he sent it in for repair. Cost him much $$ for his mistake. How would you get a rusty plug or hose fitting out of the water jacket? I doubt you or your machinistcould without damage to the alum threads.You can heat them, soak them, it won't matter as they expand when they rust. We have a way to get them out and save the alum threads. You musthave the equipmentand know what your doing.We always remove the tin shield on the bottom for cleaning and inspection. We will find sand and crud you don't want in youroil. There is also a pic of a manifold that was in for restorationwhere the heat riser had burned through. It couldn't be seen with theshield on. What if you had installed that on your eng, you would be pullingthe eng apartand never find why it was smoking and blowing oil. We see "Corvette, Camaro dealers" selling manifolds and they say they won't remove that shieldas it would ruin the integrity of it! C'mon man, get real! Save your selfa lot ofgrief and don't buy one that has old plugs or fittings in it.Your not going to use one like that on that new eng! We have added some pics to showwhat can happen.
